It's the best thing you can do for a relationship. He will help you through your ups and downs. He will protect you from anything that would hurt your relationship. If more people did that, I don't think we would have as many relationship problems as we have today.

Not too long ago, I renounced my faith in Christianity, and no longer acknowledged the existence of any God of any relationship. However, if she were to believe in Him, then I'd have no problem with that. Religion is an aspect that people turn to in order to seek a greater fulfillment in their lives, to help them feel better about their lives, that its worth living. Her belief in God would fall exactly into what I think about humanity, so either way, I wouldn't care. However, if she were to try to convert me and have me reaffirm my faith, that'd be the line, and I probably would ask her to desist. She would believe that God is already in our relationship, even if I don't, and if that makes her happy, then by all means, I'd let her believe that. But personally, no, I don't think there is a God to be in any relationship, because I believe there is no God of any religion, hence the word "belief". It's all personal opinion and feelings. Humanity has yet to prove that there is a God, and has yet to prove that there isn't one, but humans have been gifted with intelligence that allows us to live very comfortably, and so I think that we determine our own lives. We set our paths, and the way our lives turn out depends on the choices we make.

it is good to acknowledge God's hand in our lives. My Husband and I include him in our Marriage. I couldn't be happier with my decision to include God in my life's decisions. I love my Heavenly Father and I know he loves me and he wants for all of his children to communicate with him through prayer.
