i took interest in this question bc i would love to be the one to write this essay. mandela is probably my favorite on your list but since many are choosing to write about him you will have to make your essay stand out from all the others witch is difficult (not to say it cannot be done). A world leader can be many things i would choose to write on a more notorious character like Fidel Castro or a revolutionary like Che Guevara it will make your essay stand out from the other papers in the pile and make your paper very interesting not only to read but to write as well.

You spelled Hatshepsut's name correctly. Here's a suggestion for your essay: Thomas Jefferson. Jefferson was a mutli-talented man who I think would make a fascinating subject for this kind of essay.

you could choose Sir Winston Churchill, who didn't allow England to get taken over by the Nazis.

some others: George Washington, Adolf Hitler, Queen Victoria, Julius Caesar, Mother Theresa, etc.

Napolean is a great one. Alexzander is another good one to. But if I were to chose I would go with Joan of Arc. She was a great leader to her people in those times.
