DAT for what? DAT is too generic an extension for me to decipher what kind of video format you may be referring to.

Well you don't need to convert your avi vides to put them in the cd to make it play on a DVD player, but the thing you have to do is that just start "Make A Video Cd" if you are using Nero then simply add your AVI files and write them on a cd it will automatically encode the videos to be viewed on your DVD player.

DAT is not actually a video format. When you write and video CD the data is written into that and shown as .dat extention. But in reality you never find and DAT Video format converter. For other video format converters please check the link
