Doesn't being duped presupose that the duper has an agenda? What kind of agenda would a scientist have to dupe you? Here, want some candy little girl?

Since the facts all go against them, they have to turn to slander.

Why do people miss the entire point by bringing up isolated incidents of fraud by scientists. In all cases it was at most a handful of scientists involved, and it was *exposed* by other scientists. That's how science works. The reward for perpetrating a fraud in science is a one-way ticket to the dustbins of history.

Evolution is something supported almost unanimously by the entire scientific community ... literally tens of thousands of scientists for over 150 years.

So again the question ... what agenda would *THE ENTIRE SCIENTIFIC COMMUNITY* have to agree to perpetrate such an enormous hoax?
To "destroy Christianity"? Oh, c'mon ... how paranoid can you get. Exactly *WHY* would that be on their agenda?

Widespread atheism? Again ... rubbish. A recent polls showed that about 40% of *modern* scientists are NOT atheists, but have some faith in a higher power.

So the question remains ... when the overwhelming majority of scientists support evolution ... then who is doing the "duping", and *why*?

The thing that *really* pisses me off about creationism, is that it presupposes that all scientists in the world are either universally stupid, or universally corrupt ...

... and this with the fact that perhaps more than half of the people reading this right now would be dead had it not been for some medical advance brought on by science ... and absolutely 100% of these people would not be able to read these words at all without computers, and monitors, and "the Internets" ... all products of science. What is the scientific word for "hypocrisy"?

absolutely the duper wants to dupe the dupee into thinking that the duper is super when the dupee should already know, by the fact that the dupee has to be duped by the duper, that the duper really isnt super. infact the dupee probably knows that the dupee is full of poopy.

People can buy into a lot of different things. Whether it be evolution or religion, it is all dependent on the opinion of someone else and their interpretation of what they see as the truth.

I am a believer in God because He has shown me that He exists. I do not base it on any religion but only on a personal relationship with Him. That relationship can not have been created solely by me...or solely in my mind...as I do not have the capability of performing the interventions and miracles that He has performed in my life. Therefore, His existance and interaction with me has been proven to me. However, I realize that is not what you asked. You asked about some people saying that those that believe in evolution are duped. I don't know if I would refer to it as having been duped...simply that you believed what you have been told by another human being...who incidentally is no more powerful or valuable than you are.

With more and more scientific evidence that disproves what religion has been telling people to believe, they're getting nervous. How do bacteria become resistant to antibiotics? They evolve. It's merely growing evidence that religious people are being duped.

The biggest lie of Christianity is that scientist are out to get them and show them wrong. There is no reason that science would want to prove religion wrong if it were demonstrated to be right. On the contrary, religion has constantly persecuted scientist who have demonstrated the truth.

People can say anything and believe in anything they want.

Look at the shamed Korean Scientist who faked results for his Stem Cells research.

It will be up to individual to separate the correct from the wrong.

yet you have an agenda with this question. you are incenuating that someone of the religious faith conciously is attacking evolution. i'm not sure i've ever heard anyone use the phraise in question. seems a little hypocritical to an independent view.

there is no agenda. evolution is an explanation to how we got to where we are. that is all. it has evidence that if people would look at and look at a basic high school biology book then they would understand it more.

Some people want to thing that science is here to disprove god. In truth science really doesn't care one way or another.

I do love when the try and point out errors, or frauds. Who do they think discovered and reviled the fraud. SCIENCE did.

I never said that. I simply support the study of ID. I am a biblical creationist (which is contrary to ID), but I would like to see a testable model, and supporting data be presented for peer review one day by ID...
