I went out with a guy tonight, and while he's nice, stable, good job, etc., I didn't feel that we "clicked." Should I continue to see him, or is the chance of chemistry coming later a slim one? I don't want to waste either of our time, or lead him on. But I don't want to just write him off, either....help!

You should give him at least one more chance.
On the first date both of you probably weren't that much themselves. He was probably nervous too and couldnt show you all of his good sides.
If you agree to go out with him again that will give him a little more confidence because he will think (know) you liked him.
Then he will be able to open up more on your second date and maybe it could "click" between you guys.
If not then you'll just have to stop after the next date...

See him in a couple different social settings. Sometimes that CLICK happens a little later.
If he is a good guy don't give up on him so soon. Just don't rush the relationship either.
Take it one day at a time and HAVE FUN!

noooo.... don't ever settle. If you really truly feel like things will go somewhere then go for it. I can tell you by experience that if you continue to date him and you get along really well but don't have the right "stuff" it gets really hard to break up. My exboyfriend became my best friend and I couldn't break up with him because we worked so well together and I really loved him, just not with the right kind of love, but I was just never THAT attracted to him. It took me well over a year to end it, and it sucked because I lost him in the end.

Wait a little bit, and see how a couple more dates go. Get to know him, and spend more time with him. This should help you figure out whether hes more of a friend or boyfriend to you.

It never hurts to give it a 2nd try. He may have been very nervous , being the first date. He should be a bit more relaxed on the second. You will be able to better judge his personality and compatability with you then.

Yeah. One date doesn't make or break anything. It'd be sad if you lost the one for you because you were running on a one date rule.
