Having a resource like the Internet makes it much easier to expose the lies, whereas just a few years ago, it was very difficult to learn anything except what was specifically taught at chuch.

How will this impact the future of Mormonism? Will the overall church growth continue to slump? Will more and more people find the truth and leave the church? Why? Please be specific.

Dang Duh! --- We tell you but you don' t listen. Or you discount it because the facts are not provided by an official LDS source. Or you just say stuff like 'You're an anti-mormon' and completely ignore the statement itself. jeezus.

I sure hope so. I pity all of the people who are still in the cult. I have never been happier and more at peace with myself than I am now after getting out. I think those of us who are out of the cult should do our best to lead others who continue to ruin there lives out of it. Maybe we could create "truth missionaries" and knock door to door like the mormon amway salesmen do. Hand out "discussions" containing links to various websites that actually have the truth. Convert existing mormons to TRUTH!!!

Unfortunately stars - or planets - don't come with name badges on, so scientists could well have already "discovered" Kolob and named it BZX566-723. I am Mormon (have been for 17 years now) and I love the fact that my Church is the only major world faith with a theology which allows for the existence of life on other planets. If it ever does turn out that there are little green men out there, a whole lot of religious philosophies would fall apart. Not mine! I'll be saying "I told you so!" I have spoken to church members who have joined because it was the doctrine of modern prophets which persuaded them the church was true, or the doctrine of premortal life, or even the Word of Wisdom, but if you do investigate and get baptised, I think you'll be the first I have heard of who did so because of the Kolob thing.

We've had the internet for a while now, and most of the "lies" that have been exposed about the LDS church are either: A. not true, B. grossly exaggerated or distored, or C. taken out of context

To find out what LDS really believe, why not go straight to the source instead of relying on secondhand information? I also agree completely with cclleeoo's answer. These are so-called "Christians" who put nearly the same amount of time and effort to negate other faiths, instead of preaching their own. When I go to Church, I don't want to hear what is "wrong" about other churches! I want to hear the good things about mine. I want to know why I am there. Not why I "shouldn't" be somewhere else.

The Internet is just another blessing for all of us. Through it, the Gospel can be shared to the world. What a great blessing! I believe more and more people will find the true church and thus join it. What an awesome power. I'm so happy that God is blessing us and watching over us. The Internet is just a great way to share the gospel! The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is not the fastest growing Church. Nor is it the largest Church. But it is the true Church.

To begin learning the truths about lifes great questions, I've included the internet addresses for the church below: I leave my blessing to all who are earnestly and honestly seeking the truth.

Its easier to get the anti-mormon stuff out there, but as when I was once a Mormon, they claimed that the technology was created ONLY to spread the gospel of the mormon church. Little did they know that it would spread the ex-mormon info out there and the other side of the story about Joseph Smith, the side I never heard when I was a Mormon,

I think the Internet is also a wonderful way to expose the truths of our religion. Anyone can make up anything on the Internet. Just because it's there doesn't mean it's true. Find out for yourself. The LDS Church has a website, if you think about what I said, everything on there could be false, or it could be true. What are you going to do to make a decision?

This arguement is flawed. Very flawed. I don't believe in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints being the one and only church to contain the fulness of the gospel as we know it because of what I've read on the Internet. I know it because I have prayed about it. Studied it out in my mind, and come to the conclusion that it is.

Sheesh.

I think that is the number one problem with mainstream Christianity. They are all so busy trying to expose the 'lies' of other religions and people that they forget to look at themselves and fix their own lives.
If people are against another church or religion, don't you think that it would be better to try and understand and love them? Causing contention rarely, if ever, works.
I have been a Mormon for a long time, and I literally laugh at the complete idiocy that goes on here. People throw around words like 'cult' and 'christian' like they know the meanings!
My suggestion, and this is for everyone, is to go to God (if you believe in Him) and ask Him to help soften your heart so that you can be a true "Christian" and stop spreading hate for other people. Get out there and do some humanitarian efforts, like feed the hungry, visit the elderly and infirm. Volunteer in you communities, love and help your neighbours. You know. . .do what Jesus Christ commanded us to do in the bible "LOVE ONE ANOTHER"

Mormons claim that anti sites are biased, and that truth can only be found from pro sites.

Little do Mormons know how biased, exaggerative and twisted there there own sites are.

But don't worry, Mormons have a nasty little habit of calling everything anti, if common sense doesn't support them, than it's obviously flawed, mean, and anti

All the lies about the LDS church have been around since before the internet. People have been saying things like we are not Christian way before the invention of the internet. Before the internet ExMormons and NonMormons wrote books full of lies.

The web is no enemy of the truth. The web is an excellent resource to share info. Not good if you teach a lot of BS because then your followers will find out you lied to them and leave your cult !
