I'm not very knowledgeable about hair care so i have a lot of questions so here goes!
I'm african american and I just got my hair died and and its really bright red, i really wanted a warm, dark brown but im tryin to see if this red will tone down as i wash it week by week or should i get a darker rinse and if so, what color? My hair also has some bright orange splotches, is this normal and will they go away? And i still see black around my edes but i dont want that, is there anything i can do about it? And at the moment, i'm using garnier fructis shampoo and conditioner for permed and color-treated hair, is this safe?

I know i'm asking alot of questions, but any help will be much appreciated, thanks!

You should try going to Sally Beauty Supply or any other beauty supply store and buying tinted shampoo. They make them in red, brown, blonde, and any other color. And I'm not talking about like Pantene or Jon Freida shampoos that enhance certain hair colors. They are made especially to dye your hair a little bit every time you wash it in a healthy way. And if you don't like the color, you quit using it and eventually it will rinse out. It's really neat stuff. I suggest getting a brown kind. This should even out your hair color and help.

It will fade some, but I think you would be happier if you colored it a little darker and toned it down some. A chestnut color sounds more like what you want or maybe a dark reddish brown. If you got this done in a salon go back and tell them to fix it. They should do it for free. Good luck

i think of that's going to be completely high-quality. I extremely have a pal that straightens her hair all the time and had purple hair( and he or she stored re loss of life it for greater or less 2 months). And now she went back to her organic blonde hair a pair of month in the past and he or she had to bleach it and then die it and her hair continues to be as comfortable and healthful as ever. So, your mom is misguided. ( sorry mom )

stop messin with your hair color and go with what you have - try different styles but leave the color alone - if you want color change your shirt or your belt
