The Sabbath was Saturday, but that was just a fore-shadowing of our rest in Jesus.

To me, every day is the Sabbath. I stay in a personal relationship with God each day of the week...not just on Saturday or Sunday. My day of "rest" is whatever days I am off work that week as I work for a 24/7 business.

Jonathan & Jackie,
Saturday is the Sabbath. Christians follow the New Testament Church which met on the first day of the week. The Jewish People met on the Sabbath. he Sabbath was the day of rest that GOD took after HE created this world and everything in it. Have a wonderful week.
Thanks,
Eds

the Sabbath, as stated in another answer, is actually sundown Friday until sundown Saturday, as practised by the Jews. Since JESUS was a JEW any other reasoning is flawed. Christians celebrate it on Sunday so they don't have to remember that to be truly Christian one must be a Jew.

Biblically it is the seventh day which would have been Saturday at one time. Through the years the calendar has changed, days have been removed, and began to be observed on Sunday which is really the first day of the week.

Its Sunday for Christians.
For Jewish people, its from sundown on Friday to sundown on Saturday.
Friday Mosque is the equivalent for Muslims, I believe. But its not referred to as the Sabbath, because they don't believe that God rested on the 7th day.
