I find religious and social differences very interesting. I'm tolerant right up to the point where those differences are being imposed on me, without my permission. When I was in Japan, I voluntarily tried to immerse myself in a different culture, and it was a tremendous learning experience. Now, if they had come knocking on my door, trying to force their culture and religion on me (which would never happen there), it would have been a different story. =)

Life has taught me that being tolerant has now become a painful experience as others come in and demand rights and destroy your beliefs.
I am and do not wish to be tolerant becasue other faiths that are different from mine have come and totally destroyed my faith and culture. I live in my home country where people have totally destroyed lives and are just going about confused as to what is our religion because the other faiths have come in with money and guns and force and politics and destroyed mine.
I do not wish to be tolerant but how do I tell you and the others that you are hurting me? I have screamed, yelled, i have been raped and my soul almost killed, I struggle everyday to keep my faith going as your faith is telling me I am not worth it.
It is a very serious subject and I am glad you are questioning this because other faiths are using violence to convert the world to their way of thinking.
That makes me question the world. Do I not have the right to live and believe and practice my faith? Who are you to come and tell me to be tolerant of you when it is totally destroying me?
It is very painful, this tolerant way of life.
It is a violation of human rights. But do we really care?

As long as people keep their beliefs & sexual preferences to themselves--there's no problem at all---as for different cultures & races--we are all human beings with the same basic wants & desires.

I will tolerate anyone who will tolerate me :)
Besides, it makes life more interesting to learn about the many different ways there are of thinking and living.
The main thing is respect and affection for others (as long as they don't intend any harm towards you!).

Tolerant of all listed....until they violate my rights. The only people I won't tolerate are hate groups...and those that want to legislate morality ... well I tolerate them enough to walk away.

Yes , I am so tolerant , I am German and married a black American and had the nerve to have 6 children by him.
When it comes to the things of God , I have the mind of Christ ,meaning that I love everybody, regardless of who they are, but I have no tolerance for sin, because my Daddy hasn't either. I do not compromise the things of God.

Yes. I believe that all human beings have the same value to my creator, regardless or their race, religion or culture, therefore they have the same value to me.
I cannot however be tolerant of sin...again regardless of race, religion or culture etc. I will judge a sin...but never judge the sinner.

I try to be tolerant of all, even though it is hard at times and I'm sure I slip up.

I'm tolerant. What other people believe, how they live and who they love is their business.

I tolerate different beliefs, but it doesn't mean I have to like or encourage those beliefs.
