They are forcing me. They wont let me do anything what I want to do.

I am going insane. Like this is extreme pressure they are putting on me and it's not my desire.

First of all, do not get very emotional. Speak clearly and calmly. You want to conduct yourself as an adult who has thought this through, who has made up his/her mind.
Tell them the reasons you are not interested in the medical field. Say that you want to be happy, that you want to pursue the life you are meant to have to the fullest and that you are not afraid to do that. You are the captain of your ship.
It will help if you do have an area that you are interested in studying; and know about how long it will take and the salary you will be making once you have completed studying. If so, tell them. Sometimes parents are more willing to give up control if they know that you are not going to deliberately waste time and your life, that you do have a plan for getting what you want.
Then just do want you want to do. It takes courage to stand up to those who raised you, especially if they were loving and good to you. But in life there are times when you have to pursue your dream and be a "warrior." Are you strong enough to be one now? Only you can decide that.

well, just remember is your life and you should do what you want. Just tell them that you dont want to go to medical school, that your call in life is to do something also, you parents should not be forcing you.
Choose a day that they are calm and relaxed(dont look foir a perfect day, you will never find it) and walk up to them and tell them that the medical field is not for you. Is simple Good Luck

'Mom and Dad I have NO interest in the medical field at all, yet you are pushing me to do that. I am serious, I am not interested. I would appreciate it if you would respect my plans for my future." If you have a field of study in mind tell them so. If you are undecided tell them so.

How old are you? Are you close o 18? If you are then just tell them NO.... If you are younger like 15 or 16 then just go along with it untill they finally find out..

go and then drop out of that major! it works, my dad was the scariest hard a##, so i was really scared to defy him, but it's your life and you have! to do what you have to do! school is tough! so is the pressure of being a doctor or pharmacists, but it pays well, and it's worth it! it's hard to make out there and i wish i could afford to go back to school, make the best of it, and get a degree!

If you're 18, then nobody is forcing you. Get a spine. The only leverage they have is providing you shelter and food. Go fend for yourself.

that's so shame.. how could they stop you from doing the things you want and choosing what you think is good for you? i think you should oppose them, not that your going to rebel but they should know that your old enough and can decide on your own... tell them how you feel and what you want...
