I believe in it. I have seen it, I have been the one used to do it. Why would God retract his gifts of the Spirit? Some Christians think that, but in reading the Bible I see no basis for saying that they are not still in use. Again, I've seen it happen. God is still working today, He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Yes ma'am I do. I believe God work miracles even today. I mean why wouldn't He. The days have changed but God's still the same god He was back in Moses' day.
True story, my Grandma told me this and I believe her because I know God's ability and power is so great and so far above my comprehension.
My Grandma was in the hospital (i think for some surgery) and her sisters and brother was in the room sitting around the bed. She told me that God took her out from her body and she seen her body on the hospital bed and her sisters and brother. She thought she was about to go to Heaven and she was ready to go but a voice told her not yet and I believe that's when she came back to her body.
There is a lot of stuff I left out because I don't remember exactly word by word. My grandma could tell you better. N by the way she's good and Blessed
PLEASE never underestimate the power of God.
I remember somebody saying that God only have the amount of power you give him in your life. Meaning don't underestimate Him could you could be selling yourself short. If you wanna learn more about God I maybe could help. My e-mail is sofinemoss20022002@yahoo.com
God Bless

The Jewish answer is yes and no.
There are some holy people with great spiritual powers. For instance, if they pray for someone to be healed, God would be more likely to listen to them. They also might know effective kabalistic rituals.
Chassidic rebbes, in particular, are known for giving blessings and working miracles for their followers.
However, we are very skeptical of ordinary people claiming to be "miracle workers". If they're not a well-known rabbi who is approved of by other well-known rabbis, they're probably delusional or charlatans. Or worse, they could be misusing kabala- a grave sin.
Jews have always been a bit dubious of people claiming to have supernatural powers. Even in the time of the prophets, a would-be prophet had to undergo testing in front of a Jewish Court to see whether s/he was telling the truth.

Well, I define a miracle as "exactly what you need, exactly when you need it". That being said.....
For years I belonged to a Messianic congregation (Jewish/Christian). Almost any time someone needed prayer for healing my Rabbi would ask me to come and lay hands on the person while he prayed. I never felt anything special except for one time. There was a man in the hospital with cancer who was not supposed to ever leave the hospital. We went to his room to pray over him. I can not describe what I felt as we prayed...but I felt something. The man soon after was released from the hospital and until I lost track of his family several years later I know he had no relapse.

As an ex-wheelchair van driver I can tell you that miracles can and still do happen. I have been personally involved in several, and can explain them in detail if you are interested.
You can also experience this, and my first suggestion to you is to study counseling. Feel free to Email me for details.

I am LDS and i definitely believe that this is still true in modern times. Priesthood blessings work. Believe me or not but I know they do.
My little cousin was in the hospital 2 months ago and the doctors said he would die in the next hour and that there was no way he wouldn't. My uncle gave him a priesthood blessing asking for a little more time and our ward fasted for my cousin the day before:
My cousin lived for ten more days. The dostors couldn't explain it but we could. [:

If the Bible says it, then I believe it. I have had hands laid on me for things, and have been healed.
One time I felt in my spirit I was to lay hands on a co-worker, and I didn't. He had a headache, and felt in his spirit that he was to have me lay hands on him and he didn't. We learned from the Lord that we should have been obedient. He went through the day with a headache, that he wouldn't have needed to have.

I would only believe this story if you said you were 8 and the priest told you that you had testicular cancer and then the rest happened.
