What do you think? My 2 1/2 year old daughter pointed to a picture of my grandfather, who died before I was born, and said "grandpa". I never told her who he was either. She's always laughing when she's by herself and pointing as if she sees someone. I wonder if it's my grandpa, or her guardian angel.

I believe your daughter that is 21/2 years old is getting a visit by her grandfather or somebody else. I believe children are more innocent and are more vulnerable to be approached by some kind of spirit. My daughter who is 6 years old did the same thing, but the difference is that she met Grandma. Grandma died in my house when she went to sleep and she actually tells me when Grandma visits her at school and at home. This will sound scary and maybe a wierd to many of you, but spirits do exist and I truely believe their is an after-life. She is blessed and just listen to her and make sure this spirit is not a bad spirit. I don't know what religion you are but find somebody to come bless your home a priest or pastor in your neighborhood. Well the thing that worked for us was to tell her Grandmother that she can go now that she loves her and that she should not worry anymore for her. It's because her Grandmother, my mother use to walk my daughter to school everyday and she helped me to raise my daughter since she was three months old after my divorce. Besides all this help your daughter through this and even if it is hard maybe play with her and take her out to the park. Keep busy. Try your best to get busy and keep her happy. Unless you want her to do this and maybe something can happen to her. Make sure she is O.K. Well, I don't think you are drunk but just a concerned and loving mother. So good luck and hopefully this helps. I hope people don't think I am drunk because I am only telling you what I experienced and if I experienced it and I don't have any screws loose I surely know that you don't. Kids are kids but I believe you. Good Luck and hopefully this helps.

You know, my sister does the same thing. The only difference is my sister is 8 and she has Down Syndrome. But she does all the same things that your daughter does. However, we've never had a family member pass away, so I know she must be talking to real angels. She will just sit in the middle of a room alone and suddenly start talking or laughing. And if we explain something to her, she repeats it, as though she's talking to someone else.

This is all opinion as far as I'm concerned. However, my grandfather died before my son was born. I was very close to my grampa. My son has known who he was since he could talk and it's not like I showed him the picture every day. He acts sometimes like he's met him, I know it sounds strange. He's also done the talking in another room, like he's talking to someone. I believe in it but you're going to find a lot of people who don't.
I also know a girl of a friend that has supposedly seen dead people. Like she was in the car with her grandparents and they drove by a cemetery, she was waving so they asked her who she was waving too and she said "all those people standing there." They looked and didn't see anyone. Creepy!!!

My daughter had imaginary friends. The angels are a wonderful thing,if that is what she sees.My daughter put one in each pocket when she was stressed, like riding on a little ride at the fair.We did not tell her to do this, but it was so real to her.She also really had a granpa who died when she was almost three and remembers him to this day.She is almost 12.I suspect guardian angels are a part of yours and hers spirits.Just a pleasant thought.

whatever it is, thats very cute :) maybe when shes older you can ask her. did ur Grandpa die in the house? maybe its his ghost or something. so long as shes not scared by it or if shes not getting hurt its fine. its probably nothing tho. just her imagination and she may have hear you talk about the picture to someone else or something. little kids pick up things like that. or maybe she just calls old men grandpa. is it a picture of him when he's old? i know little kids do that sometimes too. like sometimes kids call grandmas or aunts "mom"

Very likely. I think it's a gift. I think that our beloved are a lot closer than we imagine and I believe that to be a great blessing. My son told me a lot of stuff about "grandma great" (who died 2 years before he was born) and a "silver man". He called this guy Jack and told me he was a firefighter. It was pretty wild, but he didn't seem upset or frightened by the experience. Now he doesn't have as many experiences like he did before.

my cousin used to talk to an angel she called "my redder."

She would say things like "angels don't wear white, they wear red...I KNOW because my redder told me!"

When she was about three, my aunt and uncle filed for adoption and were anxiously waiting to hear from the agency. One afternoon my cousin walked into the kitchen and asked her mom "who's birthday is it today?" my aunt told her she didn't know anyone who was having their birthday that day and my cousin said "someone in our family was born today, my redder told me" A few days later, my aunt got a call from the adoption agency...a baby boy had been born on that same day and they had been chosen as his parents!

I've heard that small children have that ability so your child might be looking at angels that adults don't see. Aslong as your child is not frighten then its ok and you have nothing to worry about. It happen to my cousin too.
