I don't think my nots are too strong or anything. Even if I tie my hair lightly, it leaves a crease. Why is that? How can i prevent it from happening? Even if it does happen, is there a way to make my hair straight again without having to wash it?

you have to make sure your hair is completely dry first.

Also go to Claire's they have really cute hair accessories where you can put your hair up firmly without putting too much stress on it.

Too much stress on your hair can actually cause balding

1) Make sure your hair is completely dry before you put it into a ponytail.

2) Use snag free elastics like the ones Goody or Blaks.

3) Wear your ponytail in different ways - high on the head one day - low another - so you aren't creasing the same sections.

This answer is simple and women have struggled with this for decades. STOP TYING YOUR HAIR. That's the only way.
