A million years ago I went out with this guy a couple times. I let him down gently and told him I wasn't interested. Since then I have had no contact with him. he still tries to call/ send emails to try and talk to me about once every couple of weeks for about 3 months now. I can't ignore him any harder! What else can I do to get the point across??

Is it such a terrible thing to talk to him? Anyway, if you keep ignoring him, he will eventually give up. Be patient. If he bluntly asks you out again, then the best thing to do is tell him you don't want to go out with him or tell him you have a boyfriend now. If he doesn't ask you out, but just insists on talking to you, then I think you would be better off just ignoring him. It really doesn't sound like a problem worthy of police involvement either. He hasn't threatened you, he's just tried to talk to you after you told him you weren't interested. Good night!

Change your phone number and email address. I know that it sucks but when you change you phone number, just leave a message that says ' please leave your name and number and I will get back to you soon.' Then call the people that you want to have your new number and no one else. If he still manages to get a hold of you then record everytime he calls you and emails and then report it to the police. But don't do it with out evidence of the harrassment.

Just tell him he is making a fool of himself, and though he is a nice person he is not the one for you. Be honest, not mean.
