I'm 23 and I'm still a virgin. Alot of people are not who are alot younger than me. What is happening to the morals nowadays? My dad says its gone or down the hill...so why do we continue to let morals decline?

It's supposedly the "in" thing to do, losing your virginity at a young age. I, myself, am appalled to see it. It's almost as if they could care less about morals and care more about who did who. It's something to talk amongst each other.

I'm 14, I'm still a virgin, and it's alright for you to be a virgin at your age. You're free to lose it whenever you want, with someone you love or care about. Whether or not to wait until marriage is based on your morals.

A lot of young people simply aren't taught any better nowadays. Morals have been on a decline for a long, long time. I think it happens because the world is just more evil than it used to be and when that happens, morals go out the window. A return to a Godly nation is the only thing that will help.

People are callaused to poor morals. You ought to be proud of the strength you have held for so long. It is not a bad thing to be a virgin. You have something that once you give it away, you can never get it back. I know you know that, but so many people dont think about that. I wish it were still shameful to get pregnant before marriage. I wish it were still shameful for a couple to go all the way and have someone find out about it. The Bible refers to cities that were immoral being destroyed by fire, and the whole world was destroyed by a flood because of immorality. I wouldn't be suprised if more mass destruction were to take place because of the immorality that is in the world today.

God bless you for being pure.

I am almost 19, and still am. And plan on being one until my wedding night, which won't be until at least 25. I don't want to get married too young since most marriages end in divorce.
It's not a bad thing at all, you should be very proud of yourself, and do not give into anything. My morals however have nothing to do with religion, rather I think it should be special between someone you truly are in love with.

Being a Liberal, I don't condone anyone that does before marriage, but I think teens shouldn't be having sex. They can barely clean up after themself, let alone handle the responsiblities and consequences that go along with sex.

IT'S NOT A BAD THING!!!!!!!!

I value my virginity!!! It is such a relief to see someone asking this question in today's society.

I vowed that I would not have sex until after I am married and that is what I plan on doing. Because sex was meant to be special and only between 2 people. You should only give your virginity to the one you love with all your heart and will be with forever. Because when you have sex, you and that person become one, and a part of you gets left with that person. A part of you that can never be replaced. You can never have it back. That is not something you should give away freely, even if you're not a virgin anymore. You should only have sex with the ONE person you love and will be with forever.

Why DO we let our morals decline? That is one thing I would love to know.

You rock. Thank you for asking this question. Thank you very very much. You just made my day.

I think it has to do with our society. Everywhere we turn there is something that implies sex. People with strong morals won't give their virginity up so quickly but others are pressured probably to look cool or fit in. Most of the ads on TV are implying sex in some way and is impossible to escape. This is my opinion on why morals these days are continually declining.

That's just how the culture is right now. The current pop culture is just to go out and do anything that's fun, including having sex. I agree that people's morals and values are not where they should be and that people should consider the consequences of their actions more often.
Don't worry about it. When it's right, then you'll lose it. You're not th only 23 year old virgin, but you may be one of the few.

Personally, I agree. I have always believed in waiting until marriage; and although I didn't follow that belief, I do still believe it's a good idea. The problem with society (in my opinion) is that it appears more and more that celebrities and hollywood run our "lives" and we try harder and harder to follow their lead. They, however, get scrutinized for every little thing that they do. If they sneeze, suddenly sneezing is the latest trend. I agree with both you and your dad that morals in general are a dying breed. The easiest way for you to deal with the fact that your still a virgin at 23 is to remember that it's your choice. No one else runs your life. No one else lives their life through you, and no one else has to deal with any consequences of your bad decisions. Be proud that you have stood up to your morals, and worry less about other people. Good luck.

It's not a bad thing to be a virgin. You don't have to worry about STD or being a parent before you are ready.I believe the moral decline is because of all Medea .We also want everything now self restrand is not taught.

Morality is instilled by the parents. If the parents have no morals, how we expect any better of their offspring.

Kudos for remaining 'true to yourself'. Being a virgin is not a bad thing. The right person will come along and nature will take its course in due time.

Good Luck!
