Is there suppose to be some kind of connection?
sin - breed - bones?

Well, my first thought to your question is, do you have an understanding of what "self-dependence" and "self-exultation" mean? Both terms have "self" as the first part of the word. Sin is about putting self first, and if you are "self-dependent", the word suggests that you rely on your self over and above a reliance on your self in combination with outside sources, and since you're talking about sin, the "outside source" most relevant here is God. "Self-exultation" has two "sin factors": self and self praise, both of which are sinful. The fact that both "self-dependence" and "self-exultation" are both deeply human, then the sentence that says both are "sins of man" is simply stating a philosophical or spiritual fact. It's like when someone says they or someone else is "bad-to-the-bone". They may not be so "bad", but the fact that their "badness" is being measured "to the bone" and that "bad" is sinful, then "bred in the bone" and "bad-to-the-bone" are very similar claims. God Bless you.

Perhaps it means that those sin are found in every human being, one of depending on oneself for survival and the other for being for taking joy in one's accomplishments. Taking it further, though every person has those "sins" it does not mean that the person has to act on the ability/impulse.
