A friend of mine did this. It's an early experiment to see how well something like this will do on YouTube. There are still a few bugs to be worked out but I would love to know what you think.

Click on the ‘Watson Art’ video and please let me know what you think. It’s three and a half minutes long so if you’re not using DSL or Cable and you're using dial-up it might be a long download. DSL or Cable will be quick.

I am really curious about this because we need to see how these non-video videos will work out. So please let me know what you think.

Thank you.

Camera movement IS REQUIRED as part of the YouTube Guidelines. You can't just post copies of paintings. You can only post videos. This is why I went with the slow pan. As to the voice-over, I agree that it sucks. I don't have a great voice to begin with and these were shot outside with background sounds. You're probably right. Keep the soundtrack and lose the voiceover.

I thought the camera work was just fine, Doc, and I found the music came across very clearly but the voiceover was not clear. I think you have to decide what's more important to the piece; the music (Gets my vote) or the voiceover but definitely not both at the same time. Keep making them though; I want to see more.

Great to see your art.

It is not a very good video though. Shaky and I can hardly understand the comment. The music choice is great but to choppy. Do 1 song in post production, use a tripod and start with a complete view of the painting. It will lift the video to a more professional level and your work deserves that.

I sure like your art. It is grey in color and subject and that makes it very powerful. (I'd probably would have made the 'waitress' name tag say not for sale).

The camera-work leaves a lot to be desired.
