My husband shaved his chest hair with a small beard trimmer which left stubble. If he shaves the rest of it with a razor, he's wondering if the hair will be more coarse when it grows back. I'm not sure and I don't know what to tell him. Can you answer our question?

No - it will not grow back more coarse. It will be stubbly until it gets a bit longer. "Contrary to what many believe, shaving does not change the texture, color, or rate of hair growth. Hair density is genetically and hormonally determined; it has nothing to do with what you do topically to the skin."

I suggest that he let the stubble grow out for 1-2 weeks, leave the rest of the chest hair alone & book an appt. at a salon to have his chest waxed. That way - he (nor you) will have to endure an entirely stubbly chest for long.
