My hair is super straight, which looks nice down but it's also very thick and I'm in Texas and it's summer and it's way too hot for this. Any good ideas for cool hair-do's that wont fall out all day that will be off my back? I already do a bun and braids but they pull back from my face and give my hair no volume, since I wear no make-up, It's not a really good look for me. I was considering cutting my bangs? My boyfriend thinks this is gross and doesn't want me to cut my hair at all. I wouldn't mind if I could find cool ways to put it up. Help Please!

Try parting your hair in the middle before you put it up, instead of pulling it straight back. It' s less severe, but a bit
'Little House on the Prairie".
1] chignon
2] french twist
3] pull back, twist, fold in half, and add barette to hold up.
4] one high, off center ponytail
5] one high braid
Bangs flatter most of us. They accent the face, and enhance the eyes.Try a few wispy ones at the salon to see how you like them. [ Is your hair long enough to pull up over your forehead? It will look even better than that. ]

I also have the same problem!! I'm into the retro pin up look so you may not like my idea's. I usually pull my hair up into some crazy twist but don't perfect it. Some times I also take like bandanna's and use them to hold my hair up and it tie a bow/not in the front and let like some of my hair show. I also just every once in a while curl it and throw it up because it doesn't make my hair as flat.

Your hair must be something if your boyfriend doesn't want you to cut it. Tie your hair in a high ponytail. It will be off your back plus, it would look sexy. It also gives volume. Everything you want!

me too i liv in texas i got that mexican hair long and thick i put my hair in a high lose ponytail or two pigtail braids

i've seen a few really cool hairstyles- pick up this month's Glamour magazine- they have great ideas for up dos! some really cool twisty buns- they look super hot and really great for summer.

u can try the chinese chopsticks kinda style... it adds a nice touch when wearing brite colors.
