About 6 months ago, I got a tattoo on my left shoulder in Arabic, which translates to "justice." I'm taking Arabic in college, and I'm going to start Mandarin Chinese and Japanese in my upcoming semester.
I wanted to get either the Japense or Mandarin Chinese character for "truth" on my right shoulder, to make the pair truth and justice. I know there are a few different characters, but I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion as to which would be most fitting for my situation.

Depend on the context:
真理 (zhēn lǐ) truth
实话 (shí huà) truth (to say the truth)
真情 (zhēn qíng) real situation / the truth

Well they are all pretty difficult if you only know English because other than words in those languages that came from English in the first place, and vice versa, English and those three languages have nothing in common. English is written in letters, which French, Spanish, Italian, and those type of languages have. But Japanese, Korean, and Mandarin are made up of each language's own set of symbols which can be combined to make more complex letters. The three languages are very similiar. Mandarin has "tones" and every character in the language has up to four different "tones". They are pretty hard to explain unless you hear them for yourself. I know that Korean does not have these tones. I am Chinese and I have two Korean friends and they say Korean is way easier to learn. I think so too. I don't know much about Japanese, however. :( Good luck! It's pretty difficult to learn any language and I like your ambition! I only wish I had time to learn Korean. (I watch their dramas--so good :) and know a few words)

in Japanese its written with two characters:
"真実" and its pronounced as "shinjitsu"
about the Chinese one, i'm sorry i can't help you with that since i don't know Chinese, but its probably the same as the Japanese, since the Japanese characters came from the Chinese characters so its probably the same but pronounced differently.

zhen 真as real I think better.. but I don't know Chinese well...better make a tatoo wih love

真相 or 真理- truth
真- real
they are mandarin Chinese
if u put truth and justice together
i think 真理 is a better fit

孚 (fu) may be a very old term for truth, I've seen it used on some pendants representing truth.
真理 (zhen li) is more commonly used as truth
真 (zhen) by itself is real; true; genuine
