I care about the earth. I felt much like you do. So I became a volunteer for the National Wildlife Federation. I am a global warming ambassador and try to make others aware of the situation. NWF has many volunteer positions. Here's their link, check out. Maybe you find something that you could help do and would feel better about doing it.

well they diffently have you in their pocket, do you know that no matter what you do you have no effect on gw, why? Because, it is an outright lie, lead by fools and charlatans who hope to scare the American public into destroying our ecomny. I base this on the following facts that any 5th grader can easily check out if they really want to know the truth, instead of being lead by the nose like a complete fool.
1. The alarmist claim that burning fossil fuels is the cause of recent warming, however most of the warming took place before most of the increase of CO2. There was actually a significant cooling period from the mid-1940s to the late 1970s, while CO2 was increasing rapidly, and there was another increase from 1979 to 1998. In fact there has been no warming since 1998 – an eight-year period, and even a slight statistically cooling, despite the fact that CO2 has continued to rise.
2. The correlation between co2 emissions effecting global warming is extremely small compared to the correlation between global temperature and sun cycles. The sun cycles affect temperature in two ways first by the cycling up and down of actual heat energy that is emitted by the sun. This has a small effect on global temperature. The more important one is cycling in solar winds. Solar wind blocks cosmic radiation from coming into the Earth’s atmosphere. The more cosmic rays come in the more low level clouds there are and low-level clouds reflect solar heat energy back into space. If there are more clouds the earth is cooler and if there are fewer clouds, the earth is warmer. As solar wind cycles up cosmic rays cycle up and down in reverse and clouds up and down. So the solar window is very important to earth’s temperature, and that is something neither you nor I can change.

I'm a roofer from way back when and I'm use to being out in the sun i can tell the difference but this started back in 2000 and fast all most like over knight . I think there's allot more to it then the scientist are telling us or there missing something and they just don't know . There are people who believe the earth is going to be scorched by fire as it is foretold in the bible . Look at Noah,s ark everyone thought he was a nut for building that thing just like people today think that global warming is nuts do they care . No they didn't back in Noah,s days either. I don't think we are all going to die they didn't back then either but we are going to need some kind of new energy source to survive and the closest thing that i found that can possibly do this is this new invention someone came up with ( www.first-molicule.com ) I know it all sounds far fetched but so did the ark and i just have good feeling about it .
Its kind of scary to see all the people laughing and carrying on making jokes out of the obvious God help them for there blindness but i am happy that you can see and care

LMAO! So your saying you noticed the 0.7 degree temperature rise? You are joking? yes!!! If you understand STATISTICS you would then not make such an absurd statement! Recorded actual weather data has been kept since the 1870's! Are you with me still??? GOOD! The earth is estimated to be 4,000,000,000 thats 4 billion years old!!! Just in the last century alone, we were hotter for 50+ years than we are now. The other question you have to ask, is why are WE given the brunt of the cost of fixing a hoax, when the rest of the world is without an EPA? If you are into STASTISTICS; look how much we have curbed our pollution in the past 35 years! We are one of the few countries that has been trying, you cant say that for Asia, Russia, India, the Middle East that comply about 3/4 of the planets population. If you really cared...lol....you'd be riding a bike, and living out in nature eating nuts and berries!

I agree with you, global warming is a huge deal, and not enough people care about it. There is so much that can be done to help save the earth and people just don't seem to care! I wish they did.

You are totalyl and completely stupid. YOu are the reason people don't believe in global warming.
It is not something that you'll feel in 30 years. It's something that will effect later generations much more. Currently, it is only a few degrees, but it is rising. People like you make it sound like the world is heating up 20 degrees each year. It's not. And you are just as ignorant ahs those conservative republican hicks who have no idea what they are talking about.

We need to do more than we are doing, especially in designing homes, and changing the places we build them.
This administration has converted shore-line wetlands to massive developments, and when they are destroyed, the administration does very little to help-and when they do, it`s always fueled by profit motives rather than actuall help.
The "little ice-age" should have been a wake-up call for us, but the profiteers continue electing corrupt politicians world-wide, and there is little sign of the oil and mining interests slowing down.
We will do what we can, and won`t be silenced-keep pushing for change! Get involved in your community! Join the Virtual March!

I am a little older yes I know what we are doing. Trying do all of the little things I can do to help. Half of my children are also engery conservitors. The problem is most of the things we should do cost more than our house payments.

Calm down. The climate shifts in temperature over time, it's been going on for centuries.
Basically, the belt of ocean currents serves to keep the north atlantic warm (this is why London is much warmer than Calgary, but they are at the same latitude). As the currents warm this area, the overall climate of the earth will increase and the glacier will melt a little. When the glaciers melt, the fresh water flows into the ocean. When enough fresh water flows into the ocean, it shuts down the warming currents and the north atlantic becomes much colder (research the "little ice age" for an example). Now, the glaciers begin to re-freeze due to the climate shift and eventually they will freeze enough to re-start the current and warm the north atlantic region again. This cycle CAN be affected by toxins in the environment, such as the volcanic eruptions that brought about the "year without a summer" and to some extent by air pollution from humans. But to think that we humans can "destroy" our planet or that we can stop the climate from changing is nothing but egoism. We can only destroy our own fragile society. Animals and earlier peoples have adapted to these climate changes and we need to stop worrying about our lightbulbs and learn to adapt as well.
There have been times of far worse weather throughout history, just do a little reading.

The fact that you are using anecdotal information from your childhood less than 3 decades ago is evidence that YOU don't understand what "where going threw". Any scientist could tell you that - even the ones who believe in man-made global warming.
