Such word sounds more of a colloquial term. It is not really a scientific term but on how it is used it seems to mean some sort of an infection similar to an abscess. That is: there is skin breakdown then some pus formation mixed up with blood comes up as an infection signs.
Perhaps there are more meaning that is beyond my knowledge.
