Hey, Peroikos, I think the point is God is the real thing, authentic "good stuff" (fresh homemade apple pie), and Satan tries to make you think he's the real thing (apple scent), but he's not.

No offense, but where do you come up with these? Maybe it is partly because of your lack of explanation, but I don't recognize these metaphors as having any basis on reality. God has given us his words for us to know him by - we should not think that we are smart enough for us to come up with our own petty metaphors to describe his infinite wisdom. In what we should know about God, that is, what he has revealed to us in his written word, doesn't say anything about apple pie.
