I think the main difference is that IF this Amnesty goes through, then the North American Union is almost a sure thing.
King George will have a legacy at least in the eyes of the Elites and the Illegal Aliens.

The 1986 Bill was Passed ! The 2007 hasn`t passed yet ! Of the 6 or 7 bills in the last 20 years` sponsored by Ted Kennedy , the only thing that has been accomplished by these Kennedy Illegal Amnesty Bills` is that more ILLEGALS are here now , and nothing else has been demanded of these previous bills requirements for more border patrol agents , more security obstacles ( fence , electronic detection , night vision cameras` ) , and no increase in deportation of Illegals caught after these senseless , useless bills were passed ! As citizens we are the ones` that were asleep at the wheel during all these previous passages of these bills , so now Ted & his gang of thieves thought they could just slide another one in under the dark of night , with no debate !! Well the Real Americans` are wide awake now , and the Kennedy gang has been exposed out in the open !! Why in the hell would you want to pass another bill for Illegals when you haven`t honored the first 7 you passed ?? The buck stops here and now !! Enough is enough !! ENFORCE THE 1986 BILL AND ALL THE PREVIOUS BILLS SINCE !! WE DO NOT NEED ANOTHER BILL !! IF THE SELF-RIGHTEOUS POLITCIANS HAD DONE THIER JOB IN 1986 , ALL THE REST OF THIS BULL CRAP IS UNNECESSARY , AND NO MORE OF OUR TAX MONEY WOULD HAVE BEEN WASTED !!!

More illegals and more destructive! The Washington weasels want to make gang members and criminals citizens. They want to allow people to become citizens without a background check since they are required to allow them in if the check can't be completed in 24 hour (which is impossible). They also want to allow more family members in.

I don't know what Americans thought about amnesty in 1986 but today it is estimated that 80% are against it. (Anyone that claims that 2/3 want it are looking at a biased poll that isn't worth the paper it's printed on.)

If this bill is so wonderful, why does the Senate have to "convince" us about the benefits? Are we so stupid that we can research it and choose how we feel? Besides, I don't trust the creeps in Washington anyway!

Jorge Bush is a Mexican butt kisser. The Senate's bill is a piece of crap and should die a fast death.

ENFORCE OUR CURRENT LAWS!!!!! NO AMNESTY!!!!

U.S. Amnesties for Illegal Aliens: Congress has passed 7 amnesties for illegal aliens, starting in 1986.

1. Immigration and Reform Control Act (IRCA) Amnesty, 1986: A blanket amnesty for some 2.7 million illegal aliens.

2. Section 245(i) Amnesty, 1994: A temporary rolling amnesty for 578,000 illegal aliens.

3. Section 245(i) Extension Amnesty, 1997: An extension of the rolling amnesty created in 1994.

4. Nicaraguan Adjustment and Central American Relief Act (NACARA) Amnesty, 1997: An amnesty for close to one million illegal aliens from Central America.

5. Haitian Refugee Immigration Fairness Act Amnesty (HRIFA), 1998: An amnesty for 125,000 illegal aliens from Haiti.

6. Late Amnesty, 2000: An amnesty for some illegal aliens who claim they should have been amnestied under the 1986 IRCA amnesty, an estimated 400,000 illegal aliens.

7. LIFE Act Amnesty, 2000: A reinstatement of the rolling Section 245(i) amnesty, an estimated 900,000 illegal aliens.

8. Nine current bills are vying to be Amnesty No. 8.

***************
The difference between the current amnesty and the one in 1986:

1986: 3 million illegals
2007: 12 to 20 million illegals

It is time that the we start deporting them as they are not welcome here! They are being given priviledges that belong to Legal immigrants. That doesn't mean that we need to open the door to between 12 and 20 million legal immigrants. It means that we need to kick the illegals out of our country with No Amnesty! They don't belong here and are taking away our resources - not to mention some are harboring terrorists!

No Amnesty!

The main difference between the illegals before and the illegals of today is that the majority today are from Mexico who believe that the U.S. is their land and are trying to take over the U.S. from within. They are plotting and planning on how it will happen - this amnesty would be a huge triumph for them.

This time there are 12 million illegals and there were only 3 million in 86.
The government dosn't think anyone remembers the last amnesty bill.
In fact I have read that there are still over a hundred thousand active applications from 1986 still incomplete.
Proof that the government does not have the skills to administer their own policies.
If you think they will be able to control things this time you must have smoked a ton of dope.

Neither one will stop the flood of illegals coming in. Kennedy and the open border Liberals are morons. Until every mile of the border is secure, by fence or by armed guards, the situation won't stop. Then, the employers of illegals need to be severly punished, to take the incentive away for illegals to be here, and take Gov't handouts to illegals away...such as FREE medical care, education, housing subsidies, food stamps etc., and then many illegals will go home on their own. For every $1 an illegal pays in taxes, they receive $3 in gov't benefits...that is coming from YOURS AND MY TAXES! In New Mex., half the births are to illegals, and guess who pays the Hospital bill for them? You got it..WE DO. This new bill has a provision where illegals that are here already can bring family members into the USA, some analists predict the total impact of this bill could be 100 million people in 10 yrs, which would cripple our system with a $126 TRILLION price tag. Everyone needs to flood their congressmans office with emails demanding this bill is defeated again, and real border security is done now.

The only difference is now we have a larger number of illegals. It's ridiculous especially since we were promised then that it would never happen again, a one time thing my ****!
