so i had a dream that the guy i loved and my dad got in a fight. then my dad took out a sword and stabbed him. he then died and at the end of my dream came back to life.
*my dad in real life likes him but my brother doesn't.

Just because your real-life 'dad' likes him doesn't mean that your brother isn't acting like a 'dad', especially if he is the worried, nervous, looking-out-for-you type.
The fact that they get into a fight suggests a tension between not knowing who to trust/believe. The 'dad' (sensible) part wins out, but then you realize how unhappy that makes you feel, so you 'resurrect' the boyfriend because that is ultimately, right now, who you want to listen to/be with.

Why doesn't your brother like him?
Maybe you are suprised that your dad does like him.
You unconsciously want your father to dislike him such as you brother does for a particular reason. Maybe hes abusive or different from what your family expects. Yet you love him and want total acceptance for him and don't want him hurt.
But you arent suprised that your brother dislikes him.
