just wondering if there is a way to back up my files onto a hard copy. i also want to be able to watch them on something other than my laptop or iPod.

no u cannot. welcome to the wonderful world of copy protection called drm. even though u bought the videos u cant choose where to put them, either on ur computer or on an ipod. every video site including the zunes and all music purchased on the computer has it. its the mpaa and riaa's idea. stupid huh but thats how they think they can stop pirating, which does not work cause ppl find other ways to get music and videos.

Actually you CAN burn a disc with the movies. What you need is Internet access to grant you permission to access it from inside iTunes. The file IS transferable. You will just have to designate the next computer for permission. You are allowed to license up to (5) systems for permissions simultaneously. That is your yearly limit. But you can DESELECT the permissions at any time and TRANSFER them to another computer. Just do not exceed 5. But if you mean a separate DVD. That is not possible. It is not even available as an option on commercial DVD's.
