Depending on how old and any special stuff you want.
blues.. John Lee Hooker, Elmore James, Paul Butterfield Blues Band, John Mayall (many great guitarists were with John, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and I even think Jimmy Page was with him for a short time too.) Early blood Sweat & Tears had some Jazz and Blues mixed in their music, Al Kooper was the singer and Guitarist at that time, before they got David Clayton Thomas.
Jazz music.. wow, there's so many types of jazz, hard to know where to start. A few of the "older" ones would be, Lionel Hampton, Louis Armstrong, and if you wanna go to the swing era of jazz, Bennie Goodman, Glen Miller.
Newer Jazz, Hiroshima, Swing Out Sister, Sade.
Do a google search on jazz, it will probably come up with hundreds of thousands of hits.
good luck and enjoy.

Get on site called "Fat Possum", and look for Junior Kimbrough first. He's the papa of Foothill Blues.... He lived until about 1999. Start out listening to a few of his songs, from the "You better run", album, they let you check out for free. Another good album by Kimbrough is "Done got old".
Then also check out R.L. Burnside. That guy survived until about 2006. He also played some good Foothill blues.
There is also Louisiana Delta Blues and the includes CCR and Tony Joe White.
Not only your Mississippi Delta Blues, there are two other genres..

There are many good suggestions here, but make sure you try:
Django Reinhardt.. One of a kind, and there is a certain "class" to his music that is hard to explain. It's been called "Gypsy Jazz", and he was the first and most prolific musician of his kind (despite not having full use of his hand!)
