have you ever pondered that maybe some homosexuals didn't really choose to be gay?

most christians say that they have considered the evidence and observed homosexuals enough to say for certain that homosexuals choose to be gay

any homosexual will tell you that they know they didn't "choose" to be gay just like we don't choose to be straight.

you would think that people who are actually gay would be a better judge on how they aquired their homosexuality than people who aren't gay.
why can't you take them for their word when they tell u that they felt it just as naturally as it felt to you when you blossomed into heterosexual love as an adolescent?

because the veracity of christianity is on the line?

If you ask me, if god is real, this is one of his tests.
He has placed something in his Word that is testing the hearts of his people.
Piety or people, he is asking you.
Homosexuality isn't a temptation put upon people by satan.
it is a test put on the believers by god.
Did god not test Abraham?

No matter how much you say that you know FOR SURE with every bone in your body that people choose to be gay,
The fact remains that many earnest, sincere minds feel that the matter is contentious.
Look, I want god to exist just as much as you do,
But you have to realize that you might have a “tiny” amount of bias when you say homosexuals are LYING when they say they were born that way,
considering it would make it seem unlikely that Christianity is real if they really were born that way.

If God is testing humanity as a whole on this issue, then I think 90% of us should have remembered to study for it.

Homosexuals do not choose to be gay- if you attracted to the same sex, you can't control that fact. Given, since I am a Christian, some people automatically assume that I hate homosexuals. Actually, it's far from it- I'm bisexual. I would gladly give it up if could, but I just learned to accept it and that I couldn't change it.

Now, I know that in Leviticus it states that it is disgusting for a man to have sex with another man. However, Christianity also preaches that God loves us all equally if we are willing to admit that we are sinners. Not one of us truly deserves His love, if you accept Him into your life, I don't think that He will care about your orientation.

I have questioned whether I might end up in Hell because of my sexuality, but I figured that since I was willing to ask for forgiveness I don't think it will matter come Judgement Day.

Edit: I agree with an3rkist on this issue. I agree that denying two people to love is a sin much greater.

I have never believed that people are born homosexual. I do believe that certain people are predispositioned to certain things. Not everyone one who takes a drink will be an alcoholic, but I do think that certain people become hooked. We are all born sinners and some sins get to certain people more than others. Moses had anger issues and he never turned that problem over to God and it cost him the promise land. I wouldn't say being gay is a sin, but the act is. We all have our temptations we have trouble overcoming, but we have to give those temptations over to God to help us overcome them. This whole being born gay hasn't been talked about before, it was just the past 30 years or so, and now all of a sudden people come out of the woodwork saying we were born this way. I can't buy into it, and I won't. People are using it as an excuse to go further and further. Tell me in 30 years if people say they were born with an attraction to animals, what would you say?

Let me put it this way. If Little Johnny steals a candy bar and gets caught, he might come up with any number of excuses why he did it. Like " the Devil made me do it" or "I just couldnt help myself" . Now does he sound sorry for stealing here ? No. So likewise a homosexual, when questioned about his sin can say " God made me this way" or " I was born this way" or " I cant help myself" . The Homosexual is just making excuses for his sinfull behavior just like Little Johnny. Many homosexuals who once professed this lie, ( born gay) are now serving Christ and are married with childern.

The veracity of Christisnity is not on the line here. What is on the line here is this. Precious souls are being lost due to this born gay lie. The Bible is quite clear that Homosexuality is a sin and hated by God. Come to Christ

First of all, God is not dumb. Secondly, wouldn't you think, since God is not dumb, that if he had originally designed men to be with men and women to be with women that he would have made the human race asexual (being able to both have children and make others have children). Think about it since the primary objective of sexual intercouse to create another living been don't you think if this is what God intended for man to do that he would have given both males and females the ability to have childrem? So since you are not able to do that through homosexual behavior then doesn't this defeat the idea that the desire to do this comes about naturally?

As for it being wrong according to the Bible just read Romans 1:25-27 which says

--"25They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

26Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion"--

"A man who condemns a homosexual is commiting a greater sin than the homosexual, thus sayeth the Lord." - Leviticus 29:12

Alright it's not an exact quote, or even a paraphrase, but how many of you Bible thumpers went running for your Bible to see if that was REALLY in there? I bet there was atleast one or two... The Bible's supposedly all about love and all that crap, (except the genocidal tendencies of the Father during the time of Noah, the infanticidal tendencies of Him, during the time of Moses, and a few other occassions), so how about following your own rules and "judge not". I think love between two people of any gender is greater than God himself, and denying anyone of the right to love is the greatest sin of all.

If I am married and have a physical desire for other women that I was born with should I forget what is right and go with these God given desires for women. Can I use it as an excuse to commit adultery or would you condemn me? Would a homosexual condemn me for it?

I guess we just have to wait for the ultimate Judge, God Almighty. Meanwhile, I have to say let God be true and every man a liar.

But your point is well taken.

Sorry

It DOES NOT matter what people think. God's voice is the one and only voice that matters. And He has spoken LOUD AND CLEAR on this abominable lifestyle. Give it up! You can't change the Lord's Word. He has already spoken. And No, I have never challenged God's authority on any of His Word. I've never tried to second-guess His meaning. He doesn't mince words and He speaks very plainly. But when one's life is covered in sins they will never be able to hear God until they repent.

This is my thought.

For people to strictly adhere to the notion that homosexuality is chosen, they must first be in such a state of denial that the uncertainty you're talking about is an absolute impossibility.
