There are two babies, One of them took birth in a Christian Family and another took birth in a Hindu family. So both of them grew up, learning religion along the way given by their parents, one reads the Bible, the Hindu baby reads the Bhagavad Gita and both are convinced that both are the truths, after leading long lives. A Christian dies as a Christian and the Hindu dies as a Hindu. Both of them lead good lives, performing pious activites.

So based on Christian understanding, the Christian ascends to heaven while the Hindu dwells in Hell (Forever and ever and ever).

So what did the baby do to be born into a Hindu family ??? why can't that baby take birth into a Christian family in the first place and get to read the bible and have parents who teach with regards to Jesus. So is God unfair ?? we are talking about hell forever in just one life...

I can easily refute this using Reincarnation, but it seems the concept of ONE LIVE...heaven or hell...is too childish for me.

That is a tough question/scenario to answer. I suppose it is going to be up to God to decide how that one plays out...hopefully there will be some mercy on those who never hear about Christ. However, we do live in world that is coming smaller and smaller and the chances that someone would never know of Christ less and less. (Even though, I am sure there are still many out there.)
That is where the great commission from Christ comes into play. Mark ch. 16:14-18. It is up to Christians to go into the world and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If we choose not to then we will be judged for that as well as someone will be judged for never trying to seek out Christ.

If the Hindu family never heard about being Christian, then they are OK when they die they will be given a chance to know the truth, but if they did know and didn't believe in God then they will go to Hell

we don't know what will really happen after death, and want until we die....and we don't have all the information on God,we only have the 2nd hand version and we all know how things get rearranged in the relaying of information and how more or less can be added

But I do know what I've had happen in my life and in my family, and anyone with eyes that can't see how that every thing in this universe couldn't have just
formed it's self, from us and all that has been on this earth before us, came out of the primordial muck......I've seen in the 52 years I've been on this earth, going from very little ability to communicate to the computer exploded on the world in less than 20 years and now look at us, and that is one of the prophecies in the Bible.

I've read both the Bhagavad Gita and the Bible but not being of either and after reading the question ;just what is the question ? People are born in whatever family conceives them as a rule and receive the instruction of that family and the rest of their environment aside from their phenotypical
influence they grow up they live and they die . they may not even believe in the religion they have been force fed or the unverifiable concept of heaven and hell . your thinking is only as good as the premise you base it on the ability and knowledge with which you think of it . A more intelligent answer might just reject your reality and substitute another in order to come to a more profound conclusion but you didn't ask for that so you either want you contention supported or redefined as you like I can't do that . there is more to heaven and hell then is contained in your philosophy so now that you see your limits I hope you look further and perhaps find the answers that are available to those who have developed the eyes to see, understanding is availed.

1- God just creates a soul for the body it belongs to, inside the womb. when a baby is developing, the soul is knit together, with talents, abilities and gifts that the new child will be able to match with thier biological abilities, intelligence, and strengths. -- Psalm 139:13

2- God doesn't choose really. there's achild being born, it's His job to make a soul. you're not a soul waiting in Heaven and then God says "okay, you will be born there". no. you were created on earth, you live on earth, and you have a shot at Heaven, and you have shots at Hell.

3- depends when the kid dies. if they died as young children (before they are mature enough to make the decision to be repsonsible for their own souls), then they are innocent; forgiven, Heavenbound. If they died as adults, it depends on the situation; if the Hindu never heard about Christ and wasn't all that attatched to hinduism, just believing what they were told cuz they have no other option, then they might enter. if they were devout a Hindu who rejected the Godhead (Father, Son, Holy Spirit), then they aren't Heavenbound.

no offense, but the idea of "you get a million second chances, don't worry" is too childish for me to believe. okay, so you believe in reincarnation fine. but in this life, you are not guaranteed second chances. you fail, you failed. you die, you die and you enter into another life. life is cruel; that's something that people need to accept

There are two sides to this.
1.The Christian goes to heaven because he believes in the right, follows the commandments. However, the Hindu believes in a different God. So that's what wrong. Believing in a different God is far worse than lying. And God is fair.
2.The only way you go to heaven is by having God in your heart. And the Hindus have some other God(s) in their hearts

The family that a person is born to does not necessarily dictate what they will believe religion wise all their lives. God has granted man free will, and made all the resources available to every single one of us to seek knowledge and question that which we don't understand or have doubts about. It doesn't make God cruel because one child was born to a Hindu family...if the child was born into and Indian family, he/she had all the opportunities to read the Bible or the Quran. If this is what he/she believed all his/her life, with all his/her heart, then he/she thought he/she was going to whatever heaven hindu's believe in, than he/she was at peace.

Were we not ALL created by the same GOD? You call him one thing I call him something else. GOD himself spread man across the face of the earth, changed their tongue so they would speak different languages. It seems natural that different Religions would come out of this. So if what I feel is true,,the Hindu baby just has a different faith/religion than the Christian,,but BOTH worship the same GOD.
And as for what happens when you die....you don't go straight to Heaven or Hell.....1 Thessalonians says in verse 16> For the Lord himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the Arch-Angel, and with the trump of God: And the dead in Christ shall rise first:.....This tells me that when we die we are buried and stay on earth,,,our soul cannot live without a body so our soul dies and we go into a sleep like state until the second coming.

God is there for anyone, anyone who calls on His name can go to Heaven, even people born in Hindu families. I'm a Christian and I know for a fact ANYONE NO MATTER WHAT can go to Heaven. Also doing good works doesn't get you to Heaven, but having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Those who deny Him and don't have a relationship with Him don't get to Heaven. A Hindu or any other person can call on the name of Jesus and can be saved.

That may be what some Christians understand, but it's not true.

Prior to earth life,we lived as spirit children of a Heavenly Father. For our growth and development, He prepared this earth with conditions such that we could better understand the principles of happiness as our Heavenly Father understands them.

As your heart is telling you, it doesn't make sense that a just God would send someone to heaven and someone to hell forever just because they were born in different circumstances. Our Heavenly Father is well aware of our circumstances and will help us grow as much as possible before the next phase of our existence. He won't give up on any of us.

After we die we will again spend time as a spirit before a resurrection, the reuniting of our spirit with a perfected physical body, never to be separated again.

As you can see there is some similarity with Hinduism. Most religions have some truth. As you bring your actions in line with what your conscience says is true, and you continue to search for truth, you'll be led to greater and greater light.

We are all taught lies in our childhood; it is up to us to discover the truth. If you were discussing a tiny tribe who had been isolated from the rest of the world for 4000 years and had never heard of Christianity then I could agree with you (although I would say that God would take this special circumstance into consideration, as He is a Just God. For the Hindu though, it is their choice to find out the truth and accept God or reject God. I started life as an agnostic atheist (I believed in science and the universe but had a vague god figure who reflected what science will eventually know, perhaps not so much a god but 'ultimate scientific truth'.) but I learned about what Jesus did and I believe in what He did for me.

Here is my standard answer to these types of questions: Heaven is Heaven because it is where God is and God brings particular qualities to anywhere He is (love, food, water, healing, peace, comfort, rest, ect). If we choose to spend our lives away from God then God will respect this decision and when we die He will not force us to go to Heaven to spend eternity with Him, instead He allows us to spend eternity away from Him (and away from the qualities that He brings).

As a side note: Heaven would become hell if God left, as Heaven would lose the qualities that God brings to Heaven.
If a Hindu person chooses not to spend their life with God then God will not force them to spend eternity with Him.
