When my sons were teenagers, I always had 2 carts.

That was 20 years ago. Now, we are on special diets; lots of fresh produce and sea food. That really adds up in dollars very quickly. A cart 1/2 full can easily run $150.

The pharmacy I use is in my favorite supermarket; so you do not want to hear what the cost is when I pick up a prescription or two. !!!!

I think I topped out personally at $450 or so. I could only get to the store every 3 months or so, so I really stocked up on non-perishables and stuff that could be kept in the freezer. I almost did need a second cart, it was overflowing!

Yesterday I spent 200 dollars for stuff to make for fathers day. The baby back ribs are what really added up. I don't intend to spend that much in one day again any time soon
