God would have already known that the child would have been going to confess his sins an in the act alone is what absolves him. But being an innocent child God would have spared his soul by not condemning to hell but neither send him to heaven either cos that is gained througout time... i wouldn't say purgatory either but rather something else that only God knows.

Yes, God will still forgive the 12 year-old.
God knows that, had the boy not been struck by bus, he would have confessed his sins and been forgiven.
It's not the boy's fault that he never made it to confession, so it would be unjust and unmerciful for God to hold the boy accountable for never having made it to confession before his death.
It's worth mentioning that if an unrepentant person was struck by a bus, he may not be forgiven. We don't know when our time has come, so it's best to always be mindful of our sins, and not wait if there is anything we need to confess.

Absolutely! God is all good and would not deny a person trying to go to confession from being with Him in Heaven because of an unfortunate and untimely death. The boy is prepared to ask God's forgiveness for his sins and that with contrition for the same should take him straight to Heaven. He would not have to pass Go to get there.

Yes.
The Catholic Church believes that "Only God forgives sin."
When a penitent person asks God for forgiveness, his (or her) sins are immediately forgiven.
The fact that the boy was on his way to Reconciliation shows his intention to ask for forgiveness (if he had not already).
Besides it is highly unlikely that a 12 year old boy would actually be in a state of mortal sin and be in danger of going to hell.
With love in Christ.

Forgiveness comes from repentance, one step of which is confession.
On the other hand, God know our intentions and will judge us based on what we did and what we would have done if given the opportunity.
If the boy's heart was in the right direction, God would take this into account. By the same token, if he was on his way to commit a sin and was killed, he would probably be judged the same as if he had done it.

Yes. God will forgive the boy. God knows what the boy was going to confess and He is-after all-our final judge.

A 12 year old boy is a child. No God would condemn a child for any action. What could he confess to.....tossing a ball through a window? I doubt if any child would have much knowledge of the seven deadly sins.

Of course. The Catholic Church teaches you can be forgiven without going to confession. It is up to God but, if you have the chance you do need to go to confession, The thing is, God knows our hearts and he knows if you truly have contrition or you don't so if you die and you are sorry for your sins like in this case. Of course you can be forgiven. Don't forget the Church knows she is the bride and she has not forgot who rules the roost---it is the Lord, but he has given his wife authority over his household.

Never underestimate God. He is aware of all situations at all times and He has a great love for children. God knew what was in the boys heart (mind) and why he was going to confession. That's should be all that matters.

We don't have to confess to a priest for Jesus is the High Priest. Where ever you are You can confess to Him and He will forgive You. If one is a true believer that person is saved already forever. Evidently this boy had already confessed to God in his heart and God did hear his cry. God is omnipresent and omniscient, present in all places at all times and has infinite awareness, understanding, and insight. please don't try and limit God to time or space or wisdom or a building because you can't and He would not be God if you could.
