Why are some Christians so non-tolerant and say that mormons are not Christian? Christian is everyone that believes in the Holy Bible. Members of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints believe in the Holy Bible, The Book Of Mormon, The Doctrine And Covenants and The Pearl Of Great Price.

They do it because they are insecure in their own faith, and so they must tear down the faith of others to feel more secure. Sort of like the school yard bully. They are so afraid that we just MIGHT be right, and that would be a disaster!

Your question displays why most Christians say Mormons are not Christians. Dictionary.com says that Christians "believe that Jesus, by dying and rising from the dead, made up for the sin of Adam and thus redeemed the world, allowing all who believe in him to enter heaven." Mormons don't believe this. Mormons require additional acts to make it to heaven. (Get married in the temple, adhere to the Word of Wisdom, pay your tithing, wear garments..........) The bible does not require any of this to live again with Jesus. Like Brian said, telling the truth is really an act of love. Christians know Mormons, and others, may not want to hear a message that differs from theirs, but their salvation is at stake here. Mormons are not Christians, just as Christians are not Mormons. They are quite different.

Christian is most definitely not to believe in the Holy Bible. Christian is believing in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and then obeying the things found in the Bible.

Mormonism is additions to God's word...and very very inconsistent.

Sort of like how the Morg excludes non-members from temple weddings, or fail to tell potential converts the rest of the story of the church's less than 'christian' practices?

The door seems to swing both ways.

The world is full of all sorts of people and there are a percentage of those people within all groups. There are stupid, angry, intolerant, hateful people within each religious group as well as loving, caring, tolerant, beautiful people within those same religious groups. The world is full of people. Some good and not so good. Just the way life works.

Sometimes people can not handle the truth and accuse them of pride. But the truth is the truth, and to tell the truth is an act of love. Mormons do not believe in the Jesus of the Bible, therefore they are not Christians.

Repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.
