Just like humans, there is always a risk of death during labor.

Please be responsible and bring her to the Vet for a proper exam, x-rays to see how many pups she is carrying, and proper care. Make sure you know a vet clinic that is open 24 hours (if your vet is not) in your area incase an emergency arises. Your best bet is to ask plenty of questions (to your vet!) and do plenty of research about the canine birthing process.

Good luck!! Hope your girl is eating puppy food... she needs the extra protein!

Well first of all a 6 wk old puppy cannot breed your female. And second of all why isn't she spayed with a male around. She can die if there are complications with the pregnancy which are often seen in small breed dogs. Get her spayed now and you won't have to worry about it.

this depends on the health of both dogs the background and size of both dogs.
and like anything there is always a risk.
seh should be bought to the vets at 30 days after being bred and get a sonogram so they can determine the size of the pups and if she can do herself or need a c section.
Plan on pups 63 days from breeding
or you can take and have her spayed now and get an abortion.

Not from the age from the father but she could die form being to young which your dog isn't young for pups so that doesn't count but i am just listing stuff that usually dogs dye from while giving birth: to young to old to obiest to skinny or some times it just dies and the pups stay alive or the other way around the babies usually die if the mother is young and the mother eats them, i know it sounds gross but it's nature.

Anyone or thing can die from pregnancy complications. Keep a close watch on her and if you notice strange behavior or anything, get her in the car and go.

Vet Tech is right. She can die from the labor if not treated correctly. Please get her into your vet for per natal care and follow your vets advice.
