I have a 120lb weight loss goal, but I need a little help. What foods do I eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner? What are the right snacks and how many? Can I have coffee? I'm so confused because I've never been on a diet. My goal is three pounds a week, so how many calories can I have each day? I don't want to starve myself because I've been down that path and that's part of the reason I'm so big now. I just want to get down to about a size 9 again and not be winded from just walking. It's disgusting!

So, what foods are good/bad?
When should I eat what?
Do you know of any good websites with info about dieting properly?

find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
my typical menu for the day:
breakfast - whole wheat pita toasted and stuffed with grilled chicken and veggies, coffee with milk
snack - orange and whole what toast with peanut butter
lunch - whole wheat wrap with veggies and skim cheese maybe some kind of lean meat
snack - a little bit of trail mix
dinner - steamed veggies with boiled turkey
snack - cottage cheese with berries

Reduce your acid intake is the rule of every meal.

Fats are nothing more than stored acid. If you continue to take acidic food, even with exercise you cannot get rid of fats. If you desire to obtain force you'll do just practical lifts just like the benchpress, deadlift, squat, and pullups.
