What are my legal obligations if we split up & never get married?

She has 90 days to either marry you or - if you both decide to break off - to go back home again. If you don't marry, you have no obligations. That's the beauty of the K-1; it allows you both to try out the relationship in the US before you have to commit permanently. Many K-1 visa recipients change their minds and go home again, either because they change their minds about the porposed marriage, or they simply can't adjust to living in the US.

you do not have a legal obligation if she comes to the states and find out that the relationship does not work out, However, you will be held accountable if the INS can prove it was just a mere way of her coming in the country. She has to return to her country of birth if the relationship does not work out.
