A lot of these answers are just cruel. She probably lied about having an alligator because it lost her many boyfriends already. ANYONE can lie about gender, even though this is an odd question.
People are liars, you can't hold the fact that she lied about having an alligator over he head. I would be almost like her accusing you of lying about a.... cat or something! Maybe she just likes alligators! There's nothing wrong with that.

If she can't even tell you about the alligator, imagine the rest of the zoo she is keeping: elephants, zebras, and possible even an ant-eater.
further, a girl that can not come straight about her menagerie is actually doing a secret test on you with respect to your fondness for animals. she is tricking you to make comments like "a good alligator is a dead alligator - on my plate," and then dumping you for it.
my advice: stay away!

Why would she have an alligator? I doubt that she'd lie about much else though. She was probably afraid oof you thinking that she is wierd for having such an exotic pet.

I don't know. Maybe she will say she had Raisin Bran for breakfast when she actually ate a hard boiled egg. Oh no!
Could it be she was kidding and not really lying. She may have just tested you to see what you would believe. Or, maybe she's a compulsive liar.

lets see: shes crazy... she could lie propapby for interes.. saying shes rich... And, if she makes that kind of lies.. its very normal for her to lie in small things like: i have a cd inhome or big things like my mom is president of cuba.
