I am a Trinitarian Christian and i think that if God were one Person only He could not be eternal Love since Love is self-giving for the benefit of the other and openness to the gift of the other's self giving. The Eternal Love of the Father and the Son is also Infinite,Eternal,Ultimate and Perfect and is, therefore, also a Person since the impersonal alone for the Ultimate Intelligence would be a defect or lack.
If there is no "other" in the One Being who is also infinite and eternal(outside of,beyond and encompassing all categories of time) then God could not be eternal love and if Love is of the essence of God ,then He could not be God until He created rational creatures capable of receiving and returning true love which is impossible for the Ultimate Being since he would then not be perfect in Himself.

There's a great website for such questions called, "gotquestions.org" Here is some of their answer to your question:

First we will look at how God's Word, the Bible, describes "love," and then we will see a few ways that it applies to God. "Love is patient. Love is kind. It does not want what belongs to others. It does not brag. It is not proud. It is not rude. It does not look out for its own interests. It does not easily become angry. It does not keep track of other people's wrongs. Love is not happy with evil; but it is full of joy when the truth is spoken. It always protects. It always trusts. It always hopes. It never gives up. Love never fails" (1 Corinthians 13:4-8a).

This is God's description of love. This is what He is like. The greatest expression of God's love is communicated to us in John 3:16 and Romans 5:8. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him (Jesus Christ), will not perish but have everlasting life."

Love (God) does not force Himself on anyone. Those who come to Him do so in response to His love. Love (God) shows kindness to all. Love (God) does not demand obedience.

This short description of love reveals a selfless life, in contrast with the selfish life of the natural man. Amazingly, God has given those who receive His Son Jesus as their personal Savior from sin the ability to love as He does, through the power of the Holy Spirit (see John 1:12; 1 John 3:1, 23, 24).

I hope this helps!!!

Hi and the best answer i can give, all of Love, all of The Holy Bible, all of it hung on A Cross called Calvary, For God [The Father] "SO" Loved you that He gave [Jesus Christ the second member of the Godhead gave Himself] that WHOSOEVER should BE-LIVE in Him should not perish but have eternal life, John 3:16, Now in John 1, Heb.13:8 we read Jesus is fully God, and was the active member of The Godhead that when mankind sinned in Gen.3:15 He Jesus told Adam and Eve that sin and satan would one day end, and IN Rev.20:14 and 21:8 says sin will die [The effects of Hell is forever not the fire] and In Isa 53:2 we are told Jesus gave up His divine body for a plane body like we have [please read that whole chapter] and when He returned to Heaven He kept that same body FOREVER, as it says in
1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
He will forever have those stripes and Jesus Christ is the ONLY example of what Love is that Heaven has ever produced, find out more free bible lessons www.itiswritten.com email me not messenger me also wgr88@yahoo.com God bless

Eternal love from God is love that never ends no matter what you do!! He loves, forgives, and cherishes you forever!! Even when we die and meet Him face to face!!!! In one of the scriptures he says that he is there through all the times in our life..From when we're born till were in HS and even when the going gets though he is there right there carrying us through it...

God is LOVE - ETERNAL LOVE!

Love is Kind, Gentle, Forgiving, Non-Judgmental and Forever! According to my definition.

According to the Bible - "But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you. Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despite you. And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other: and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also. Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taker away thy goods ask them not again. And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. For if you love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love thee that love even the same." Luke 6: 27-34 however read through verses 49 to the end of the chapter it will open your eyes - I Pray! I use KJV.

Be at Peace. Accept God's Glory.

Take Care and God Bless!

We are not all equal. You have heard of angels and archangels, I hope. But the worship aspect is irrelevant. Those who love God more are better worshippers. That's true. As for culpable atheists, he wills that you be saved but he won't force you. Should he force you ?
