Well, I was going to blame this on the increase of gas prices. But, I don't think you would buy it. You would have to ask one money-grubbing gold digger this question, and I would like to know the answer to this. I think that the answer would be both. Society causes chicks to reach for gold because the givers are there to give...right?

first off we are not money grubbing gold diggers.
or at least not all of us
when i go out with someone i always offer to pay for myself but the guys i date have proper manners and pay because thats what society tells them is right.
Maybe you should open your mind a little and realize that all girls are not the same

If you think all chicks are money-grubbing gold-diggers, you've been very unfortunate in the women you have known (and perhaps currently know). Branch out, for crying out loud, meet someone new. Either that, or you haven't figured out yet that the one chick you knew is just her, not all women. Would it be fair to say all men are chauvinist pigs just because I knew one or two who acted like jerks? Nope. Because there are some awesome guys out there...So flip this around. Just because you've known one (or several) who were, doesn't mean they are all that way. Maybe you just gotta hold out for that one in a million, right? They are out there...
Good luck in finding them.

You are encountering all the wrong ones because they are the ones you are looking for! Look at all the decent relationships that are out there and you will see women who are good to the man they are with. There is no gold-digging, just two people working together to have a long and lasting relationship based on love, not money

It's just the ones you're dating. My friends and I make enough money that we can afford our own stuff. And even if we didn't, we sure as hell wouldn't be with some guy just because he had money. Try dating girls who work and have some sense of self-worth. But yeah, I think that gold diggers are just the way they are, it's not society.

You might have noticed that most of the broads here seem to have a problem with that statement. And being that most of them lie so much they don';t even realize it, then it must be true. I think it's the fact that they know eventually NO MAN can deal with their inane chatter, pernicious gossip and rapidly sagging body parts for too long, so they get what they can while they can.
Of course they're not all like that. Mom wasn't..... but all of my sisters are, and their friends, and my girlfriends...... and their friends.........hmmmm. Think I'll get something to eat! All this talk about digging has made me hungry!
Oh yeah and the generalizations really shouldn't be offending anyone, being that women generalize about guys ALL THE TIME!

I cant say all are but a few are!
BUT I will say money is very important to them and not for security but to spend! When I was working my buisness I made very good money I had a wonderful lady beside me but after a little time when my health got bad and the money got tighter she did not stand beside me anymore!
We still had enough to do things but not the same things! She is now with someone that can afford her needs better than I can now. This happens often with men but not with a true honest woman she will stand strong with you and you will find one someday!

Well Loser, I'm not like that. I left my ex husband and gave him a car,the house, everything in the house and paid for the dang divorce. The only thing i took was my personal belongs and my clothes. And that was in 1993 when i only made $9 and hour. Maybe you should get an education on women and stop messing around with losers like yourself!

Don't judge all women by the actions of a few, not all females are on the money. Some of us do understand that material possessions are just that, material and can disappear when it's least expected. On the other hand some of us like to earn our own way and make life comfortable for our own good.

I'm not...I work for the things I have. I budget and save and feel a sense of accomplishment from being independent enough to get myself the things I need/want. I also have a long track record of spoiling my boyfriend with all kinds of presents and such.
