I asked a question a little while ago about why God made our Earth so horrible with wars and torture and death and all the bad things that are here. People said that you can't blame those things on god as they the result of human stupidity. So basically what you people are telling me is that since God created everything, he decided to create a bunch of idiots because for whatever reason, he wanted to watch the idiots that he created fight with eachother over stupid ****? If God gave us free will, why did he decide to make humans lean toward conflict rather than peace. It's still God's fault. And what about all the people who lean towards peace who get ****** over by the people who lean towards conflict???

People behave according to upbringing and the circumstances they find themselves in. If "God" created all those circumstances then surely the outcome has to be his direct responsibility. If things aren't as "God" intended them to be then he isn't omnipotent and he's not God.

God gave us free will so we could choose to love Him. In this way His love for us would be reciprocated and we would be more than just a teddy bear for a small child. Satan convinced Adam and Eve to sin (rebel against God). When this happened many evil things were brought into the world (death, disease, famine, pain) but these things were brought into the world because God (and the qualities that He brings to the world (Love, healing, peace, mercy, ect)) was pushed aside. We told God to get out of our lives. At the moment we sinned, we changed and we had a sinful nature by default. This is why we tend towards evil than good. There have been two times in history where God has seen too much sin in the world and has acted to change it. The first was Noah's flood; the second was when Jesus was born). One scripture sums this up nicely: 1 Peter 2:24 - "He, Himself bore our sin in His body on the tree, so that we may die to sins and live for righteousness. Through His wounds you have been healed." He came so that we may die to our sinful nature and fight against the evil in us and in the world. God gave us a way out of the mess that we created. Blaming God for the state of the Earth is like blaming a light bulb for a dark room when you refuse to turn the light switch on.

That is as simple as explaining why my parents are not responsible for my crimes. Should anyones parent be arrested if their fully grown child decides to ignore what they have learned and rob a bank?

God did not create robots. He created an environment for life to flourish in. After a while, he will directly intervene and correct all matters. Until then, it is everyone's free choice of whether they choose to live or die.

Where is the confusion in this? Rather burning every braincell seeking questions to stump believers, why not use a couple to understand such a simple answer as the one provided here?

Keep in mind that this is coming from someone who is admittedly NOT a mainstream Christian.

This world is so violent in part as you mentioned because the people in it are violent and irrational. But there are also natural disasters that have little to do with what we do.

It's my belief (just mine, I don't claim that anyone else shares it) that this is simply the way that this world works. When needs to it corrects itself, at times violently. People are a mass of instinct, emotional baggage, and guilt and we all have to work through it some do so successfully in whatever way they find is best for them (including religion or philosophy) and some are incapable of finding their way. And unfortunately the rest of us pay for it.

I doubt that God meant for us to have a glacial trouble free life. The hardships that we suffer we are supposed to learn from. Learn compassion for others, and ourselves. That s*** happens and we all must grow and learn to deal with it.

I see the world as a place in which there is a great deal to learn, that this is what we are here for. It is strictly a personal idea of course a probably worth little to anyone else. But the point is that it is up to the individual to decide how to deal with your existence. It doesn't matter what label you use, Atheist, Agnostic, Christian, Jew or Hindu. There are many many ways to live your life within each philosophy. It is up to you to answer some questions for yourself, because truthfully unless you are willing to lean on someone else's ideas instead of your own you have to decide how to deal with what happens to you in this life.

The short answer to your question is simple,in fact you answered part of it;by stating that we have free will.So understand that people are generally selfish and only seek to help and please themselves. It is extremely harder to not only think about the needs of others but also cater to those needs;and that's what you need for peace, unselfish people who are more concern about others rather than themselves. The human race as a whole is incapable of such a noble task, this is where God comes in;but if we continue to do it without His help we are doom to failure.

I think the world is just perfect the way it is. I believe the world is a proving place for the soul. We are hear to grow spiritually by helping our fellow man and not blaming God for our problems. Given that, if our fellow man needed no help because there were no problems to solve and nothing to overcome, we could not grow spiritually ourselves. That is why the world is perfect, with all its problems.

I asked a similar question and got ridiculed for it. I stated that God initally failed because He created mankind, and man was too evil or whatever and He brought the Great Flood to kill everyone off and started all over again. To start over, you have to fail. People will only see one way when it comes to religion.

It is not God's fault. Satan is the one to tempt man. Man chose to sin. God made a perfect world, and man decided to disobey. We all have choices to follow the Bible or to do our own thing. God didn't make the mistakes.

I'd like to be able to respond to this, but even as I type some zealot out there is preparing to delete this question. God is a concept that allows some people to assign meaning to both the unknown and unknowable. Call it a crutch, if you will. It helps some people deal. If it works for them, that's fine. I just wish there weren't so many wishing to hobble the rest of us to be fitted for their crutch as well.

well, you have to remember GOD doesn't FORCE any one to believe. People do, very often they do SO many stupid thing. GOD doesn't have HATE, Jelalousy, prejudging. God doesn't have Negative. GOD gave us HUMANS free will and love.

However, because we often being used by EVIL we have what we have NOW! again i repeat it IT all OUR FREE WILL.
Trick how to stay away from EVIL, and trust in GOD.

I do have FAITH in GOD, do you?
