This question has been asked before, but I've been talking to a pro-life atheist, and now I'm finding myself with even bigger doubts on my position than before.
I'm talking about morals not about laws here.
Just want to know how many out there. You don't have to expand if you don't want to.

By the way, to that person I've been talking to, thanks for throwing me for a loop. Why are you making me think?
:P

There might be a second question following this one. I have to think about it. It's a little personal.

seattlefan74, I'm not talking about forcing others to do (or not do) anything. I'm really trying to deal with my doubts. Doubts that I've had for a long time. Like, I've stated above me, there's something personal here, for me.

I am an Atheist. I am pro-life. :) And you're welcome.
I believe that too many women use abortion as birth control.
Adoption is a better method.

I am a Christian, however I was an atheist for the first 28 years of my life and have always been pro-life.
My reasons for being pro-life have never been theological but, more practical.
Pro-choice is supposed to be (at least every person that tells me they are pro-choice says this) about choice and equality.
If a woman is pregnant and the man wants the baby but she doesn't, he has no choice and looses a child. No equality in the choice.
If she is pregnant and wants the kid but he doesn't he is then writing checks for the next 18-21 years...again, no equality in the choice.
I firmly believe in equality, but make it equitable, if you want equal then take the bad with the good.

I am a very pro-life Pagan - not Athiest. I think its ridiculous to say that since you are a certain religion, you will think its okay to have abortions.
I know many pro-choice Christians.
Its funny how a lot of Pagans become vegitarian, and stay pro-choice.
Makes no sense.

I am pro-life.
I accept that there are circumstances in which an abortion is necessary to save a Life, but I don't accept that abortion is an appropriate form of birth-control.
I also accept that others do not share my views, and I accept their right to have and act upon their views, rather than mine.
I would never recommend an abortion, but I would not try to interfere with one, either.

At the start of Life the situation is much more complicated. I would hope that every effort is given to promote life, but you should be understanding of people who may have to make difficult decisions. It may be best in the long run.

We're all pro-life; we're only human. The difference lies in when one believes that an abortion is the more moral of the available options, or that permitting legal abortions is a lesser evil.
I really dislike the idea of abortion on demand, but simple dislike isn't sufficient.

I'm pro-life.
As for religion I dont know what I believe.
Life to me is more important than worrying about an after-life. I'm happy with what Ive got and if thats all so be it, Ive had good years.

It depends on the type of life. Among the types of life I am against are mosquitoes and various types of disease causing organisms. I would certainly not be so hypocritical as to call myself pro-life and then swat a mosquito ( which I do all the time) . I hate mosquitoes.

pro-choice atheist. This does NOT mean that I am pro-abortion. It just means I respect a person's right to choose.
