Nei is a term of endearment in Hawaiian.
Hawai'i nei means beloved Hawai'i.
E i nei= my beloved, my love.
I once saw a Hawai'ian greeting which went
E ke Akua ho'opiho 'oe me ke aloha o Hawai'i nei.
which means
May God fill you with the spirit of our beloved land.
