#3, since it appears that from all accounts in the Bible a child who dies before an age of accountability (i.e., Jesus began to show his individuality around age 12 when He was discussing the Law with the scribes and pharisees at Herod's temple) is spiritually secure via our Lord's work of salvation. It is why there is chatecism and confirmation classes at this age in our churches. However, this concept is not at all clear. And, I believe that the Lord meant it to be this way so that no desperate and religiously neurotic parent may try to kill their child before they would even reach this age.

As for a child growing up to be gay identified or converting to Islam, you do not say whether or not the child as an adult lives out their adult life gay identified or Muslim. The reason why I mention this is because I believe that the gospel message is like planting a seed in the soil of the human mind and heart. It may remain dormant for years, then begin to germinate at any time, possibly even in their elderly years. And, thereby this germinating seed will start to grow into a shoot out of the ground, then into a plant, by the transforming power of the Holy Spirit. This plant will be very salient indication that indeed their mind and heart have then begun to turn away from worldly principles and philosophies, religious or otherwise, to the mind and heart of Jesus. Therefore, no gender/sexual orientation confusion and bondage, nor religious heresy, nor any other worldly entity can have any hold on those whom the Lord calls. These aforementioned paths towards destruction can appear larger than life than most others, but they are not. They just appear to be.

I do not personally find any of these disturbing. I think that to Christians in general would find: 1 disturbing, 2 OK because Islam is so similar to Christianity, and 3 upsetting but acceptable because their child would have moved on to a better place by God's Will.

I think that # 3 would be least disturbing because they would be in a better place. In response to someone's answer, God does not make people gay. He has said that it is a "detestable sin". Also, in response to other answers, Islam and Christianity are not the same. Muslims believe that Jesus was just a prophet, not the son of God like Christians believe. There are also many other differences.

As a "Christian", one can only be most disturbed by the loss of a child regardless of the circumstances. Learning to accept people for who they are and not who we want them to be is what Christianity is about. Being gay or of the Islamic faith does not destine one to become either good or bad. Nor should a parent withhold their love from a child for either reason.

I would probably have to say #3 although I must admit that my heart would be crushed if any one of my children pre-deceased me. However, it would be a tremendous comfort knowing that my child was with God.

With that said, I would continue to love, cherish and pray for my child if either #1 or 2 happened. #2, though, won't happen because I have and will continue to teach my children truth and through truth they will come to understand that Christianity is the only belief system to have.

1. God makes people gay from birth. Ever seen a gay six year old? I have. Scratch this one out.
2. I dont care what religion my child is. Forcing someone to do something will only make them more intollerant and make them hate whatever your forcing upon them. If they want to grow up and be a Wiccan then so be it.
3. Having my child die at a very young age would be devistating to me.

My answer is #3 for very obvious reasons

No question about it, it would be a tie between #1 and #2. #3 almost happened and it's quite terrifying. The other 2 would not be a problem for me because I have unconditional love.

1 or 3 about equal to me... If my child is gay I believe she can still believe in Jesus Christ as her lord and savior.. and 3 if she dies at a young age she will also have known the truth...
No matter what if 1,2, or3 happened I would still love her just the same.
