Yes we do believe in Hell, just not in a fiery burning one. Sheol in hebrew, Hades in greek, or hell in old english is the same thing==mankind's common grave. Depending on the translation, of which there are many and good, Eccles. 9:5,10 in any of them describe the condition of the dead as without any thought or feeling. They are not capable of feeling pain or pleasure. So being in a torturous fire would not make any difference or any sense.
What about the soul? Ezek. 18:4 says clearly, "the soul that is sinning--it itself will die." Psalms 146:4 shows, "His spirit goes out. He goes back to the ground. In that day his thoughts do perish."
The Bible does say the bad people go to hell in Ps. 9:17 in the KJV and 9:18 in the DyV. It also says the good go there too. In Job 14:13; 1:8. and Acts 2:25-27 it quotes King David talking about Jesus not being "left in hell (or Sheol depending on the translation).
Is this something Jehovah would have created? Jerimiah 7:31 answers that. Certainly, "God is love." (1 John 4:8)
Some claim the parable of the rich man and Lazauras proves hell is hot. IT'S A PARABLE!!! If you were on fire, would you ask for one lousy drop of water? Or a barrel?
Hell is the grave, nothing more.

Do annihilation and resurrection make feel? According to the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, while you die, you stop to exist (Let God be True, p. fifty nine, 60, sixty seven). On Judgment Day, handiest trustworthy Jehovah's Witnesses might be resurrected to existence everlasting on Paradise Earth. The leisure of all mankind might be annihilated, burnt up, made not to exist and not using a everlasting punishment in a fiery hell. There is a logical quandary with this view. If a Jehovah's Witnesses believes that he ceases to exist while he dies and that he'll be resurrected on the Judgment Day, then is he fairly being resurrected? In different phrases, if he was once alive after which has ceased to exist, he's within the identical state he was once earlier than he was once created. That is, he is not. He has no lifestyles. He is long past. The handiest remnant of this man or woman might be within the reminiscence of God (now not counting household and peers, and so on.). Only God might understand if this Jehovah's Witness was once well ample for Paradise Earth. If he was once, then the present might be a brand new construction of anyone within the precise picture of the Jehovah's Witness who beforehand lived and did all of the works mandated via the Watchtower Organization. But, it would not be the precise identical man or woman, on account that that man or woman ceased to exist and there's no continuity, no continuance of the man or woman in view that he has ceased to be. Therefore, on Judgment day, how can he be resurrected? That is, how is he, because the identical man or woman, resurrected while he does not exist anymore? Is he the precise identical man or woman or has God make an precise reproduction of the man or woman upon which to bathe the benefits of Paradise Earth? It might appear that functional good judgment might contradict the suggestion of lifestyles, non-lifestyles, after which lifestyles all being the identical man or woman. It additionally contradicts scripture which says, * "We are of well braveness, I say, and select as an alternative to be absent from the frame and to be at dwelling with the Lord," (two Cor. five:eight). * "I understand a person in Christ who fourteen years in the past, whether or not within the frame I have no idea, or out of the frame I have no idea, God is aware of any such guy was once stuck as much as the 3rd heaven," (two Cor. 12:two). The Bible teaches us that we've got an lifestyles clear of our our bodies when we die. The Jehovah's Witnesses are flawed. We keep on after loss of life.

Jehovah's Witnesses actually *DO* believe in hell, as the term is actually used in the bible. The bible teaches that "hell" is *NOT* a fiery place of torment, but is actually the common grave of mankind.
There is no suffering in "hell", or the grave. Sometime after the resurrection, death and "hell" will themselves be destroyed.
(Ecclesiastes 9:5) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all
(Ecclesiastes 9:10) there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol ["hell"]
(Revelation 20:14) And death and Hades ["hell"] were hurled into the lake of fire

Hell exist but is not the lake of fire, it is a confusion if you read Revelation 20:14 you will see the bible that says that hell were cast to the lake of fire so they must not be the same.
Hell is the grave or first dead and lake of fire is the second death.

KJV Rev 20: 13And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
As you can see from the bible Hell is being done away with.
When Adamic death is done away, so is hell.
Why because hell will be empty.
The second death is non existance. Those thrown into the lake of fire are totally destroyed.

They question several doctrines taught in your Bible. They have their own. The New World Translation of the Bible is Jehovah's Witnesses own translation. No other religious group uses this Bible and Jehovah's Witnesses make very little use of other Bibles. Therefore in their Bible, Hell isn't spoken of as it is in yours.
Caramelle, I don't really understand why you would say that every JW is misinformed. They have their beliefs just as you have yours and I have mine. If you look around the world today, you will see we all need more religious tolerance, not less. The only proof you have for Hell is what you have read in your religious texts. You have no proof that such a place exists, they have no proof that it doesn't. Everyone should be free to follow their own beliefs and not feel the need to belittle other people's beliefs.
Hope this helps,
Channa
P.S. you can read more about their beliefs here:

first of all, jw's don't use their bible as their source. all their information comes from Watchtower magazines/books. The book is basically the remix of the bible made by some men in New York. They DON'T believe in hell, they only think there is temporary punishment for the most wicked people in the world, and after that, they can work their way up three stages of heaven: terrestial, celestial and..i forgot the other one. i myself am a non-denominational christian and just in case you were wondering not only was that lady misinformed, but every jw was.

I believe that you are Catholic... For their bible is vastly different from all other bibles... All hell is a just a hole in the ground. Nothing more and nothing less.. The same hole that almost all people are buried in is called hell.. it is not and I say again it is not a place of eternal torture.................................................... It is and always will be just a hole in the earth...........................................................................................
