I made my husband a nice brunch. I baked blueberry and banana nut muffins, scrambled eggs with cheese and cut up melon. I wrote him a little "love" note and made his favorite dinner tonight. He has been relaxing and playing his video games all day. Think I did a good job spoiling him today?

Wives....did you make your husband's Father's Day special?

I think you did a great job!! I love how excited we get to plan an extra special father's day for all the special dads in our lives.
I brought mine out to a fancy restaraunt this morning (and invited along my parents, grandparents, and brother as well) where we all gorged ourselves on delicious food and mimosa's (yum!).
Then we invited his best friend and wife over for a BBQ, and he got a chance to have some down time with another man! I kept the kids upstairs while he got some quiet time in the den. The icing on the cake though is the deep sea fishing trip I got for him and one of my co-workers (who happens to be his "fishing buddy." ) He's happy :)

I am sorry about your loss I know how you feel I also lost one to SIDS many years ago and the pain is still there. I would take him up to the top of the nearest mountain and take two candles you can light together in remembrance of the two lives that your love created and I would take two balloons and let them go high into the sky for the two angels that are there looking down on you, and just hold him close and tell him how much you love him and what a wonderful father he is even now in thinking and remembering the children. God Bless you both.

He's not my father, so I don't do gifts. I did cook the meal he requested... crab cakes, grilled salmon, steak, long grain and wild rice as a side and chocolate cake for dessert. My daughter got him one of those rolling coolers to use when they go to the water park.

You did a great job! Unfortunately, I didn't really do anything -.-
At least, nothing out of the ordinary. I did fix his meals and clean our house and do his laundry... so IDK
I know he wanted to have some "intimate time" at some point and we never did... ah, I'm willing to give a "rain check" (lol, it did rain today too, though that didn't really have anything to do with it).
