Does anyone know of a good slicer for home-made bread - I have used electric knives - but am looking at a Sunbeam Food Slicer - has anyone tried these for slicing home -made bread?

I used to have one, but it didn't do a very good job on bread, so I've gone back to either my electric knife or a good serrated bread knife. I prefer a knife over just about anything else.

It's worth investing in a good quality knife if you're going to be slicing a lot of bread, but since I'm in Oz, I couldn't tell you what brand to buy.

I think that would smash your bread putting it through. I always stick to a sharp serated bread knife.
