Chris, what a lucky woman your mother is to have a beautiful child such as you! I too have spoken with your mum and you are lucky to have such a kind woman for a mother!!
I am a Wiccan, but have been touched by your mothers love and genuine respect for others. She is a beautiful soul.
All i can do is light a candle for her and meditate on sending healing energy to her, i have a healing spell in my book of shadows and i will do that ritual for her to.
Please know that many of us here are with you in thoughts....
I know how heartbreaking it is to see our dear mothers go through such torment, and i know that you need to be strong for her so i will do a ritual for you as well, that you may be given the strength needed to help her through this..and remember that when you feel you cannot hold yourself up there are many of our spiritual hands holdin you up!You WILL get through this dear one!
Please look after yourself, and tell your mother that she is in our hearts.....keep us posted!
Love and Light

I'm so sorry to hear what you and your mother are going through. I'm not a Christian, but I know that some people get comfort from having a priest visit to give last rights, just in case. My husband's grandfather was Catholic, and it gave him a sense of security to have a priest assure him his afterlife would be good, when he was in a nursing home. All you can do is be there for her and reassure her, which makes all the difference in the world.

And how do we know that the Susan J that posted in this answer is the REAL Susan J? Honestly, I didn't know her. I don't know her. I have no idea who she is/was/or could be. I'm sure she's great if she's alive, and anyone who knew her will probably vouch for her. If any those people are people I know (Pangel), I'll trust them.

I will pray for her and ask others to pray for her, as well. I believe that prayer is a powerful force for healing, and our loving Father in Heaven is well able to care for your mom.

Susan is a lovely person, very kind and compassionate. As I said in an earlier post, please give her a hug from Wolfeblayde and tell her that we're thinking of her here in the forum. Even if she doesn't remember me, a hug and good wishes are always beneficial.

And I will also include her in my nightly Rosary, as well. Please keep us updated on her progress. Thanks!

Edit:

Here is the link to the prayer request that I just put out for her. People all over the world will be interceding for her.

There may not be a way for her to recover, but right now her biggest enemy is pain. If she's suffering at all there are ways to eliminate that.

If she can communicate, please try to make sure she's not in pain - she doesn't deserve it, and it's of no help. If she's in any discomfort, fight the medics to get her analgesia as high as it needs to be.

If it's time to go, it's time to go, but there is a prayer you can say at her bedside, I think its called the Bridget Prayers, much like the Way of the Cross. If you can find a Pieta Prayer Book and read it daily, that would probably be of comfort to both you and her.

Chris, I'm so sorry to hear this. Although Yahoo will remove the question, please keep posting things and keeping us informed.

The only thing I can tell you (I'm an Atheist) is to keep talking to her. Hold her hand. She understands and hears you more than you think . I had an amazing experience with a "comatose" friend. Tell her you love her.

I'm sorry Chris. I wish I could hug you.
