well i would tell him he can get a tracfone, prepaid phone at the walmart, for $15 dollars and minute packages starting at $21,, i have this phone and it gets awesome service and the phone is very durable

talk to your dad that you need a phone, of course he will ask you why. tell him that you need it for communication means and also in case of emergency.
