I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND THE MYSTERY OF THE TRINITY! ! Since Jesus is the son of God, how is Jesus completely equal to God? and then there's the holy spirit which don't have a name so how can it be a person? i know that God is Spirit so isn't the holy spirit the power of God? also Jesus said that we are to pray to The Father in heaven, as Jesus himself did example john 17, and in verse 3 Jesus says that the Father is the only true God. IS JESUS WRONG?
i'm hopeing that some one can explain all these answers!

since the trinity seems such a mystery which no one can biblically explain, please tell me why anyone should believe it?
oh yeah as for the holy spirit being a person / entity - what is its name? where is its throne?
God the Father has a throne, and Jesus has a throne, but i never found in scripture where the holy spirit has a throne.

Well, I don't follow the manmade trinity mythology myself. God is Number One. Jesus is His son, that makes Him part of God, as we are part of our parents. The holy spirit is not an entity, it's a gift from God, a thing, therefore it can't be on the same level with Jesus or God. They are not equal, God is the supreme, Jesus is second, and like I said, the holy spirit isn't even in the same category.

The Holy Spirit can be grieved. An impersonal force cannot. (Ephesians 4:30)
Let me try to explain to a degree how the Trinity works:
The term "Trinity" is not found in the Scriptures, but the doctrine is clearly displayed. There are many times where Jesus said of Himself that He was God. He applied the name of God, "I AM," to Himself in several passages. Here's a few examples: Matthew 14:27, Mark 6:50, Mark 13:6, Luke 21:8, John 4:26, John 6:20, John 8:24, 28, 58, and John 13:19. There are several others I have not listed. Besides this, Jesus said that He & the Father were one (John 10:30). This describes a unity, even though there are two. (Note, the I AM passages I referred to are from the Greek, as the English translations often mistranslate I AM for "It is I" or "I am He," to allow for readability.)
The Trinity has an underlying appearance in the Old Testament as well. In Genesis, we see during creation that God said, "Let us make man in our image." and also when man sinned, God said, "...man has become as one of us, to know good and evil..." Who was He speaking to? The other persons of the Trinity. We also see that the Spirit of God hovered over the waters in the beginning, and in John 1:1-3, it clearly states that Jesus (the Word) made everything.
Another angle to pursue is the various Scriptures that demonstrate that God's attributes are present in Jesus as well as the Holy Spirit. For example, the Father is eternal (Psalm 90:2), and so is the Son (John 1:2), and so is the Holy Spirit (Hebrews 9:14). Another shared attribute is their holiness. Only God is truly holy. The Father is holy (Revelation 15:4), so is the Son (Acts 3:14), and so is the Spirit (Acts 1:8).
An ancient diagram of the Trinity can be helpful in getting your hands around the doctrine, and can be found at the link below in the SOURCE list.

Well I believe the trinity doctrine was created by Satan to confuse people of the true nature of God. Jesus said before Abraham I am, which was the name of the talking bush that appeared to Moses. The bible also says that Jesus created the heavens and the Earth. If Jesus created the heavens and the earth, then what is another seperate God for? So from this I conclude that there is no trinty and the pre-existant Jesus was just all of God. Since God is an invisible God, the only way for us to see God is through Jesus. Jesus is fully God, and fully man. The holy spirit is just the spirit of God, not some other person.
To assume that Jesus, the Father, and the Holy spirit are all God but different would mean that there're 3 seperate Gods.
If Jesus is not God, then he coud have not saved us from our sins. The only reason the sacrifice is sufficient is because Jesus is worth an infinite value. So don't get confused because Jesus is the key to salvation.
Note: Jesus while on Earth was limited to his human nature, because he was tempted just like a normal human being. So on the cross he had to face his own wrath, without allowing himself to escape it.

It is definitely a mystery. But on the subject of Jesus, look at John chapter 5, verse 23,23. God the Father say's all judgement will now be done by the Son, the Father makes the Son the supreme focus. Jesus say's the Father did this so that ALL will honor the Father AS they honor the Son. It makes sense to me that one cannot HONOR the Son as the Father unless you worship the Son as the Father (honor means to esteem, view, etc). You cannot worship the Son as you do the Father unless you worship the Son exclusively. In teh Old Test. [Isaiah], God says He will give His glory, worship praise, etc to no other. Unless Jesus and the Father are One, Jesus lied to us, which would mean He did sin and we are not saved. But we believe Jesus is sinless and that every word is not only true but from God almighty.
They ought to be looked at as One rather than as three. You cannot pray to one of them without praying to the other. You could pray to the Holy Spirit (Peter did in Acts 10:19-20) and the Father receives it. You can pray to Jesus (Stephen did in Acts 7:59) and the Father receives it or you can pray to the Father and He receives it because He knows that you have received the connection back to Him through Jesus death and resurrection.
And as seen in Acts 10:19-20 the Holy Spirit is a person, noticed that He talked to Peter and many others in Acts, and you too, if you get quiet and are willing to hear Him. That will blow you away. He is so real!!
Hope this helps.

The Trinity is a mystery that is very difficult for people to understand, that’s why it is often seen as three separate gods and what-have-you. The truth is that you are confused because you are using the word ‘person’: try 'entities' or 'aspects' or 'characters' or something. Each of the three 'persons' of the Trinity is equal in power but the relationship between them is different. Think of a human, we are made of the body, mind and spirit. Each of the parts is in hierarchy but each and all are needed for humans to live. If we remove one then the whole is powerless. This is also why so many people try to attack Jesus, because if they remove Jesus from the trinity then God becomes powerless (so they believe). Jesus says to 'pray to The Father' but also says that 'no-one can come to The Father except through me' (Him, Jesus), so it's not saying that Jesus was wrong but when Jesus was alive (before the resurrection and His ascension) we were not to pray to Him (Jesus) as he had set aside His Glory to become the Son of Man. After His ascension we have to go through Him to get to The Father as 'no-one can come to The Father except through me'

The mystery of the triune God is difficult. We are taught that we have one God in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, called the helper by Jesus.
This is not the best analogy but it's the best one I've come across. Imagine a large body of water, such as an ocean. This is God the Father. Take some of that water and freeze it into solid form, that is God the Son. Now take some other water and heat it until it becomes steam. That is God the Holy Spirit. All of these things are the same thing but in different forms. If you cooled the water vapor and thawed the ice, then poured them back into the ocean, you would never be able to distinguish them one from another. But God knows His aspects. He knows which part of Him is Father, which is Jesus, and which is Holy Spirit.
I know that's not perfect but I'm only human and it's the best I can do. Hope it helped.

Basically Jesus in the first angel of God, according to the bible John 3:16 God sent his son, in the book of Job 1:6 and 2:1 you will see how the bible calls angels (sons of God) Jesus according to the bible is the firstson of God (Colossians 1:15-17) and firstson is defined in the bible in Exodus 13:1 as the first of been born or created, so Jesus is the first creation of God (Revelation 3:14) all angels are called gods in the bible (psalms 82:1,6) so they are gods so Jesus is a god but that doesn´t mean he is the almighty God, no he is his firstson.
The sin came by a man not by a God almighty, God sent his firstson in heaven to fix the error that the firstson of God in earth Adam did.(Luke 3:38)
That is why the bible in 1 Thessal. 4:16 "because the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel’s voice"
If you compare God (trinity) with and egg or with a family you will not going to get that are three person eqaully in power and authority.

God, the Father Almighty, He says in the revelation that His name is "I AM." Jesus the Son, seedline David, in the order of Melchezedek, Son of Man, meaning born in the Flesh, Immanuel, in the Hebrew, means "God with us." The Holy Spirit, comforter, The Spirit of God, The Holy Spirit, in the Hebrew, Ruock, and not Holy Ghost, These are all Spiritual Beings of the Holiest and Highest regard. Omnipotent, Almighty Ominpresent, Forever present, with us, Eternal, always was and always will be. Omniscient, Glorious, Eternal, without end, Equal, of the same substance.

Consider it like this. The Trinity or "Godhead" is muc like the structure of the family unit. The husband (God the Father) is head over the whole family. The wife (Jesus) is to submit to her husband (Christ said he did only what God sent Him to do). Also, just as a husband and wife are to be "one flesh" so too God and Christ are one. Then children (Holy Spirit) are to submit to the Parents (and seeings that God and Christ are one like husband and wife are to be, the Holy Spirit in essence follows the Father and Son). It actually goes much deeper than this. But just think of the Trinity as a social community (family, church, etc.). That is why we have families and such (one reason anyway). They point us to what the God is like.
