Doesn't that kind of negate the dying-for-sins thing?

I mean maybe it wasn't exactly a real death huh?

Which is it, church people, you can't have it both ways. Either he died for your sins or he didn't.

If he got up and started walking around like nothing ever happened barely two days later, maybe you need to admit he died temporarily -- and maybe all you holy church people aren't exactly saved from your sins after all.

Replies from Bible scholars and other appreciated.

It was a "new" body that Jesus supposedly ressurected into. A "Spirit" body with holes in all the right places to "prove" that he was on the cross. When he ressed, he didn't act like nothing happened but gave instructions to his disciples about how to spread the Gospel and build up the Church. He remained for 40 days and then God "beamed" him up. It's the explanation I was given by a Pastor out of Seminary. Personally, I'm Buddhist. :)

First Jesus rose after 3 days and 3 nights in the tomb.

But he didn't get up and start walking around like nothing ever happened. He had a glorified body of flesh and bone instead of flesh and blood.

If you had ever read the account of what being crucified by the Romans was like, you'll know that yes he was more than just merely dead, He was really and sincerely dead.

He got up and started teaching and spent time between this world and that, not just casually visited here and there. (I wonder what his mother thought if He showed up at her place.) After He had taught his disciples, He left. So, technically, he did die, resurrect, and then move on.

It's just a story agreed upon 325 years after Jesus' death that is supposed to symbolize salvation. It isn't literal.

You are obviously speaking on a subject you have not studied. It was three days. How can you make a decision of such importance without knowing all there is to know?

The Church teachs Jesus was fully man and fully God. When he was killed, his human part was killed. When he was raised, it wasn't "him", like you or me, but it was more of a spirit that looked like a person.

I think he didn't die he was taken off the cross before he even died..He had to go into hiding and keep it a secret so the Romans wouldn't find out and come after him.
