God forgiveness is so much that me and you can't comprehend well. It is written that He forgives our sins and cast them into the sea of forget fullness. Just imagine that sea and its huge waters, our sins in their multitude nomatter what they are murder, lie, sexual infidelity, terrorism, name it, are all cast into that sea by God when we unload our sins just by saying, " I have sinned forgive me."
Gods' love is unique and just as we sang in Sunday school, it is so wide that we can't get under it, ...high....can't get over it.
And that love calls us to submit all our sins at His dear feet, despite the condemnation from people that you are evil and crooked, like the adulterous woman who was brought unto Jesus by Pharisees and scribes carrying stones and ready to end her life through stoning.Jesus showed the adulterous and condemned woman (condemned may be more than me and you have ever done to someone) love by telling her '' woman, where are those thine accussers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: GO, AND SIN NO MORE.He is ever ready to forgive. He has hope when we have death coming our way, death that is as a result of our guilts caused by sins we have committed.
And then it is also written that we come with boldness at the throne of His grace and confess/ unload our sins and guilt's so that we walk away free. He hates to see us laden with huge and small amount of sins, we are to surrender them at His feet.
When I was a kid, I confessed my sins everyday, and one morning, so sure that God was like my dad who would warn me never to show up again asking for forgiveness, I promised myself that was the last repentance I was making. And for sure, it was. One day my heart guilty of many sins, I was preached to by my junior school classmates that Jesus forgives and forgets. I walked forward to make my repentance and accept Him in my life that He helps me live a new life in which I would overcome sin by His own strength and power.
Today, when I commit sin, I just ask Him to forgive me , I do it with confidence because of the dear relationship I have with Him.

It is my belief that the Lord will always forgive, as long as you not only ask his forgiveness, but are truly repentant for your sin.
On the other hand, the Lords forgiveness is not a "get out of jail free card" either.
You can not sin, or make the decision to sin then think to your self, Well all I have to do is say "sorry" and I'm good to go.

Mark 3:29 will tell you that to blaspheme against the Holy Spirit is an unforgivable sin, so God does have limits, however this can only happen during the end times (Luke 12:10) and Rev.
This does not mean that a person can go about life committing sin(s) and think that all will be forgiven by just saying "I'm sorry". One must truly be repentful and change ones way to be forgiven. Because we are flesh we will stumble from time to time, but we are to try our very best not to stumble.
We all have the potential to sin but have Christ as our advocate. Through
Christs crucifixion we are saved by grace.
I hope that this has helped you. God bless

God forgives everything that is confessed with a contrite heart and asked for forgiveness. There are still consequences to sin, but He forgives as soon as you ask. Peace and keep on asking Him. He loves you.

May God bless you for asking. Your question has been a blessing to me.
In the old covenent, expressed in the Old Testament, we're told of offerings that could be made for the forgiveness of unintentional sin. Under the same covenent, other sins held penalty of death or being outcast.
In the new covenent, expressed in the New Testament, we're told that Jesus Christ was born to the world as God's son, to take ALL the sin of ALL who believe in Christ, to later in life suffer the penalty of outcast and death of the old covenent by being crucified on behalf of our sins as a new covenant, then to be resurrected from the dead to ascend into heaven to come later to judge the living and the dead.
God provided this covenant in love so that we may each have the opportunity of hope for eternal life, justified of our sins through Christ.
So how much does God forgive? God forgives much more than you, I or anyone in this world deserves - which is a testimony to the depths and heights of His love for you, me and everyone.
Please take a moment to read the Source section below - I know it's a lot, but it's from the truth of God's word.
I pray that we would all know and experience God's love from within our belief in His Son, Jesus Christ. And please forgive me if I failed to answer your question or caused any confusion.

We are told to forgive our neighbor 70x70. That's 4900 times per day for every one you feel you should forgive, and that's for one day.
God wouldn't ask us to do what He can't. Simple.
